    Bison Celebrate Senior Day With 7-2 Win Over Golden ...

    After being honored in front of the home fans during a pre-game ceremony, the eight seniors on the Clearfield Area High School baseball team shook off a slow start and finished strong for a 7-2 win over Curwensville at the Bison Sports Complex Monday. The four Bison at the top of the lineup combined for four hits, drove in seven runs and scored four times.

    The early season rain led to many postponed games for the Curwensville Golden Tide, which meant that late in the season a lot of the games would occur back-to-back, and sometimes go for days without having a break. It also meant that some games had to be made up on a Saturday, a unique situation that the Tide have seen already this year.

Thursday night would be the final time the senior members of the team would step onto the home diamond wearing the gold, black and white, and wanted to finish the home part of their year on a winning note.

But, after gaining a come-from-behind victory on Tuesday, they were ready to take the momentum to their home field as they would welcome in the Elk County Catholic Crusaders on Wednesday afternoon.
