    Lady Braves Chop Onions to Land in Title Game

    The Lady Braves continued to turn heads in Columbus Friday night where they shut out the Vidalia Indians 4-0 to secure a spot in the GHSA Class AA State Championship on Saturday. Jordan Watson continued to show her opposition that if you can't score you can't win extending her scoreless inning streak to 48. She allowed only two hits and a walk with six strikeouts over seven innings and pitched out of a bases loaded jam in the sixth inning.

    Lady Braves Tame Tigers and Fry Bacon in Columbus

    Things probably could not have gone any better for head coach Matt Hornsby and the Lady Braves softball team in Columbus Thursday where they took care of business winning their first two games at the GHSA Class AA State Championship Tournament. Junior Jordan Watson continued to pitch as well as she has in her entire career extending her scoreless streak to 41 innings as the girls shut out the Swainsboro Tigers 4-0 and the Bacon County Red Raiders 8-0 in just five innings.

    The Lady Braves continued to shine in all facets of the game Wednesday afternoon as they shut down the visiting Armuchee Indians by final scores of 4-0 and 8-0 in the Sweet-16 round of the GHSA fast pitch state softball playoffs. Coach Matt Hornsby's squad once again combined solid defense, timely hitting, and stellar pitching from ace Jordan Watson to advance to next week's Elite-8 State Championship tournament in Columbus for the third year in a row.
