    Gaels tame the Wildcats

    Friday night's Division 5 game between the Clinton High School and Gardner football teams treated fans to some good old-fashioned smash-mouth football, though it was an interception on a pass into the end zone that finally sealed a win for Clinton. Taking advantage of a Clinton fumble, the Wildcats had advanced from their own 39-yard line to the Clinton 9 on five straight runs by senior Jake Shetrawski.

    Gaels return home to face Gardner

    After playing four out of its first five games on the road, the Clinton High School football team returns home tonight to take on Gardner in a Division 5 contest at 7. Gardner is coming off a 28-21 loss to Auburn, while the Gaels fell 37-6 to Tyngsboro last week. Both teams enter the contest with 1-4 records.

    Gaels drop game with Tigers

    On Friday night, the Clinton High School football team witnessed first hand just how good the Tyngsboro Tigers are this year. The Gaels led briefly, 6-0, early in the first quarter, but the rest of the game belonged to the Tigers, who scored 37 unanswered points.

    Gaels set to face Tyngsboro

    After picking up its first win of the season last week against Hudson, the Clinton High School football team will try for win number two when it travels to Tyngsboro tonight to take on the Tigers at 7. Tyngsboro, which lost only two starters from last year's squad, enters the Division 5 game with a 4-0 record, while the Gaels are 1-3. Three of Tyngsboro's six touchdowns against Gardner came on pass plays.
