ORG XMIT: HP119 Saturday signified the end of the 2014-15 season for area boys' basketball teams when Albany Academy dropped a 48-44 decision to Canisius in the Federation Tournament of Champions Class A final. All three squads competing - - Albany Academy, Scotia and Shenendehowa - lost to the eventual champion in the Class A and AA tournaments, respectively.

    The best season for the Shenendehowa boys' basketball program in 28 years came to a conclusion Saturday, yet that ending for the Plainsmen did not come without offering up a gritty fight against top-ranked Wings Academy. Shenendehowa delivered a superlative defensive showing, but could not overcome shooting 29.3 percent from the field in dropping a 44-35 Class AA Federation Tournament of Champions semifinal contest at UAlbany's SEFCU Arena.
