    Three schools have players named All-State for football

    In addition to being named one of eight Beetdiggers as All-State, Brush senior Kyle Rosenbrock was named the CHSAA 2A player of the year in 2014 for football. Junior Alex Mai , senior Toby McBride and sophomore Tate Kembel were three of the five Fort Morgan Mustangs named All-State by CHSAA this week.

    Ibrahim, Rosenbrock named student athletes of the week

    Weldon Valley sophomore Jeneen Ibrahim was named the female student athlete of the week after anchoring the Warriors to a second place finish at the Wiggins Holiday Classic last week. For the week of Dec. 8 through 14, the Fort Morgan Times has named Weldon Valley sophomore basketball player Jeneen Ibrahim and Brush wrestler and basketball player Kyle Rosenbrock as the student athletes of the week.

    Brush road Beetdiggers get second straight win

    Tuesday's game with University was also made a bit more difficult for the team. Not only was Brush playing their third straight game on the road, but a snow day from school Monday meant the team would not get a practice in before returning to game action.

    Beetdiggers improve to 3-0 in Patriot League

    Brush senior Shelby Wolever, seen here against Platte Valley, led the team in scoring to help the Beetdiggers defeat University on Tuesday. The Brush Beetdiggers did not get a day of practice in before their game on Tuesday, but a rested girls basketball team still came out strong in their third game in the Patriot League against University.

    Beetdiggers coach, players reflect on their big win

    Brush High School football coach Randy Dreitz and players Jose Rodriguez and Kyle Rosenbrock recently reflected on their state championship football win. Consistency, talent and lots of plain old hard work were the key factors behind Brush High School's 2A State Championship title last month, according to Brush High School football coach Randy Dreitz.

For the week of Dec. 1 to Dec. 5, the Fort Morgan Times selected Fort Morgan senior Jesus Ibarra and Brush senior Shelby Wolever as the student athletes of the week for their performances kicking off the winter sports season.
