Cedar Park used a powerful running game to get off to a fast start, then held on for a 49-27 victory Friday night at Rattler Stadium in the Region IV-5A Division II second round.

Matadors seek upset of undefeated Chargers in season...

The Seguin High School football team won't advance to the UIL playoffs after tonight's season finale, but the Matadors would certainly springboard into the off-season with momentum if they could find a way to knock off undefeated Boerne-Champion at Boerne ISD Stadium. With a 3-4 district record and an overall mark of 3-6, Seguin will lament one-point losses to Lockhart and Floresville as the games that kept the program from snapping an eight-year playoff drought in Anthony Boykin's first season as head coach.
