    In-state lineman Blake Snow will walk on at Auburn

    Oak Mountain offensive tackle Blake Snow has accepted a preferred walk-on position at Auburn, according to his father, and is set to enroll June 23. The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder has been a fan of the Tigers since he was a child and opted for a chance to play in the SEC over full rides to North Alabama, West Alabama and Stetson, among others. "I would stand where the players would come out of Gate 10 as a young kid and wait to get autographs," Snow told AL.com.

    The Oak Mountain girls' dominance in Class 6A has carried over and now they have a shot at becoming the state's first 7A champion. The Eagles, winners of the 2014 and 2012 6A titles, defeated Bob Jones 2-0 in the 7A semifinals today at John Hunt Park in Huntsville.
