On the heels of its first Essex County championship, the Belleville High boys' volleyball team clinched the Super Essex Conference title last week and took a 24-2 record into the first round of the NJSIAA Tournament earlier this week in a first round game opposite West Essex. If Belleville defeated West Essex, it would play the winner of Jefferson and Wayne Hills today, at home, starting at 4 p.m. A loss to West Essex would end the team's season. Comment?

Before the current high school boys' volleyball season began, Belleville High School head coach John Spina had an idea that it was going to be a year to remember for his Buccaneers. Comment?

It was a big day for the Belleville High track team, at the Essex County relays last Friday, in Livingston. Belleville sophomores Kiara Collazo and Nichole Henry took home a first place medal in the discus relay, with a combined throw of 208'9". Comment?
