    District 11 soccer, field hockey tournaments set

    In girls soccer, Eastern Pennsylvania Conference champion Parkland and Colonial League winner Northwestern have been awarded top seeds in the District 11 girls soccer tournaments, which begin Tuesday. Parkland , the top seed in Class 3A, will play in Thursday's quarterfinals against either Pottsville or Pocono Mountain West.

    Salisbury senior Kyle Gonoude will renew his running rivalry with Wilson's Joe Espinal on Wednesday at the Colonial League cross country championships. Gonoude and Espinal, a junior, took turns winning races this season - with the former prevailing by 17 seconds in a meet last week and the latter first by 19 seconds in a meet last month.
