Following two official protests, the Class A Division I championship game between Bamberg-Ehrhardt and Christ Church scheduled for Friday at noon has been postponed. Tammie Newman of the South Carolina High School League says the protest questions the eligibility of one of the Red Raiders' varsity football players. Comment?

Bamberg-Ehrhardt overcame some uncharacteristic turnovers and used a bruising running game to overpower St. John's, 34-6, in the second round of the Division I-A playoffs Friday night at the Islanders' Bob Biggerstaff Field. Despite losing three fumbles, Bamberg-Ehrhardt opened a 20-0 halftime lead and was never in serious trouble. Comment?

The St. John's Islanders are having their best football season since 2006, sporting an 8-3 record as they head into Friday night's second-round Division I-A playoff game against Bamberg-Ehrhardt. What's most impressive about the success of this year's team is the number of underclassmen, particularly freshmen, head coach Brad Bowles has been forced to play with this season. Comment?
