The Bullpups beat Liberty-Bakersfield 54-36 in the first round of the Central Section Division I playoffs behind her 38 points - tied for the fourth-best single-game performance in school history, according to section historian Bob Barnett.

    USC football lands Paraclete football star Melquise ...

    As the offers rolled in for Paraclete junior running back Melquise Stovall during the winter, it was clear he would become one of the area's most sought-after seniors entering the 2015 season. Stovall, an All-Area second-team selection at running back last year, announced Friday via Twitter that he would commit to USC, ending some of the speculation surrounding his decision.

    Marina High's baseball team completed a five-day run at the Ryan Lemmon Invitational April 9 by winning the tournament championship. The Vikings went undefeated at the annual spring break event and in the title game, survived Long Beach Millikan, 3-2, in 11 innings at Windrow Sports Park in Irvine.

    BASKETBALL: All-Star game salutes area's tradition

    With 20 of the Inland area's top senior boys basketball players, including five committed to NCAA Division I schools, the inaugural edition of the Inland Sports All-Star Classic will be an outstanding showcase of the talent that comes out of the Riverside/San Bernardino area. Saturday's 6 p.m. match up in the Perris Citrus Hill High gym features Team Tarkanian, coached by Corona Centennial's Josh Giles and Team Masi, coached by Woodcrest Christian's Scott Mossman .
