    Panthers Defeat North Hunterdon in Homecoming Game

    Senior Matthew Kaiteris scored a touchdown for Bridgewater-Raritan with 4:05 left in Friday's Homecoming football game against North Hunterdon to clinch the win, 17-10. The Bridgewater-Raritan High School team started off strong with a field goal early in the first quarter, taking the lead 3-0 and keeping that for the remainder of the first half of the game.

    The North Hunterdon boys seek to recapture the championship magic the Lions possessed years ago when they take part in a championship doubleheader for the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament championships, slated for Saturday at Warren Hills High in Washington. The Hunterdon Central girls will face Newton at 3 p.m., and the North Hunterdon boys take on Phillipsburg at 5. With its 4-2 shootout victory over two-time defending champion Hunterdon Central in the boys H/W/S semifinals last weekend, North Hunterdon advanced to its first tri-county final since 2010, when it bowed to Hunterdon Central in overtime.

    Defensive back Teddy Airoldi of Allentown Central Catholic High School recorded 8 tackles for Dickinson in a 33-28 Centennial Conference win over McDaniel on Saturday. DB Kevin Ioannidis made 7 tackles, RB Jake Meluskey rushed 3 times for 9 yards and was 1 for 1 passing for 28 yards and LB Tom Dex played but had no stats for the Red Devils.

    Franklin (1) at North Hunterdon (2) - Girls Soccer

    Madeline Wolf and Heather Tostevin each connected in the second half to erase a one-goal deficit and lead North Hunterdon to a 2-1 victory over Franklin in Annandale. Kaylee Motter and Brynn McDonald collected assists while Kelli Liebermann made eight saves in net for North Hunterdon.

    Hackettstown Tigers wrap up boys soccer championship

    Steve Jaxheimer scored the goal and Kyle Palomino made six saves in a 1-0 shutout of Lenape Valley on Oct. 16 in the clincher. "We were the last remaining undefeated and untied team in New Jersey," said coach Gary Thomas regarding the Tigers' season-opening win streak.
