To me Christ himself would a) not like the commercialism of Christmas, b) didn't want to be idolized, c) preached understanding and tolerance. Take these together and I think he would be sensitive to other cultures in the US, and OK with businesses, organizations, governments, and individuals saying 'Happy Holidays" "Seasons Greetings" or other inclusive sayings. I can also understand Christians feeling like the US traditional Christian heritage is under attack as "Merry Christmas" is falling out of favor. But those I know who use other terms are definitely not at war on Christmas. So while a few preach against using 'Merry Christmas' with zealotry or animosity towards the Christian faith or organized Christian religions, businesses, or maybe even individuals who continue to use Merry Christmas, this doesn't amount to a national "war on Christmas."

Christmas means a variety of things to different cultures throughout the ages.

So much discrepancy can be found in bible scripture about when the Maji arrived, how a star occurred, where Jesus' lineage to King David and Solomon is aligned through Joseph, being his step dad, etc - that which in no way, reduce the merit or legitimacy of Christ.

According to calendars it appears that Jesus was CONCEIVED, instead of actually born, during the time of year typically celebrated as Christmas.

Nonetheless since He was immaculately concepted and Christmas remains a worthy time to celebrate Jesus.

Clear to me that the bozo armies are trying to overtake the true meaning of Xmas which is to clear the shelves and fill the coffers a Jesus intended in the temple of the money lenders. Now folks are trying to make this some kind of religious nonsense. DONT FORGET BUSINESS!!!
