Actually, that depends more on how much they care for me. If I'm more important than the other person, I'd be saved, but if not, then they would be. It's not a matter of white or black with ANY of my black friends. And yes, this HAS been proved thanks to a lovely rip tide that nearly killed us. Deal with it. All you need to know is she grabbed MY hand first and saved me FIRST, and THEN went back to save her friend(who is also black). Maybe she went to save you "the girl", thinking that he "the guy" could save himself, especially since he was closer? Just thinking out loud here in the middle of cyber space. And being nice to everyone is really not the way. I think you may want to practice Kindness. Being nice comes from a place of fear, wanting to please everyone and weakness. I don't. Personally, I give my highest respect to my Cherokee and Choctaw heritage, NOT my white ancestry. I look white, and essentially, I am, but I honor my Native American self higher than the rest. Simple as that. I do see what you're trying to say, but you're blowing it WAY out of proportion. Wow, way to generalize my comment. Okay, she did drugs, she got addicted. Instead of helping her with an intervention, they tossed her on a tv show. She needed help, and they did nothing. THAT makes it their fault to a HUGE degree. She started the problem, so OF COURSE she is to blame as well, but they didn't even try to help her. As for Hendrix? He's dead, yes. He did drugs, yes, but he IS a god of sorts. I don't think there are spiritual gods. I am an atheist. Calling people gods is a good sign of that, actually. If I idolize someone, they are, in my mind, a god. It's not like I actually believe they ARE gods, but that I liken them to gods. After all, what are gods but idols and worshiped beings. I worship Hendrix's guitar skills, James Dean's acting skills, and Chris Colfer's complete perfection as an actor/singer/writer/etc...THEY are gods to me. You don't have to see it the same way. You are right about Whitney being exploited on a reality show...Just like Anna Nicole Smith,not only did her friends exploit her they provided her with the drugs that killed her AND her son,they proped her up on her reality show when she was smashed for ratings.
