Im all for the self defense laws especially for the women's sake, but this seems to be something completely different.

Why do only women have the right to self-defense?

It's now coming out that the Martin boy was the agressor and had burgularly tools in his backpack and also had a questionable background. He's not the skittles eating innocent the media portrayed him out to be initially. It's a tradegy that he got shot, but if someone was beating the snot out off me, they''ll take a bullet too.

We don't know all the facts. Never will. It is irresponsible to speculate.

"George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.

Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.[...]

In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman’s description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin".

Fool talk. Why did the self-appointed guard bastard think it was any of his business to run after a boy walking down the street. If he had kept his ass in the house the boy would be alive. He took off after the young black and no doubt the little boy beat his ass half off and he pulled gun and shot him. There would have been no fight if the SOB had kept his ass at home and called police to check him out the dispacher told him to not follow the little black boy. Flordia's law is not "stand your ground law". In many cases it is a "make my day law". I hope they send the SOB to 20 years in prison.

It's come out today that NBC edited the 911 call in an effort to fan the racial hate flames. Also, ABC's video of the police station segment under closer scrunity showed the wounds claimed by Zimmerman and that he had also been cleaned up by an EMT prior to being brought there. My point being, the Left Wing media is trying to gin up the white vs black nonsense in an effort to bolster Obama's re-election...do not let this happen.
