From what I have read and heard on the news, the kid seems to have been the aggressor in the matter. It is tragic but I wonder if there would have been an up roar if the kid had been white. Just look at what the moron Obama said. "If I had a son he would have looked like this kid". Wow, not a word like that for all the military men or the border guard he caused to be killed. Obama and his AG are dividing this country and will cause a severe backlash when he IS gone.

I agree. If it were a white boy we probably wouldnt have even seen it on the news. There are racist in this country but, I'm absolutley sick of hearing racism all the time from blacks. How often do you hear a white person complaining about a black person being racist against them? Him being black they are driving one side of the story in the ground not mentioning what was done to zimmerman. How many time have they mentioned zimmermans broke nose, the gash in the back of his head and the grass stains on the back of his clothes were he had been on his back? If he had already had plans of killing this person he wouldnt have got his nose broke and a gash in his head. Regardless of not having a weapon, in florida in any case were you fear for your life your aloud to use deadly force. Someone doesnt have to have a weapon for someone to have to fear for there life just in the case over at the middleboro mall years ago when those black guys jumped that white boy and messed him up for life. You dont have to have a weapon to do damage.

it is in the news because he is black. White people will NEVER be good enough for people of color. I have stopped trying. Nothing will ever be good enough. I have nothing against the people I know that are a different race, or in general, but as a group in politics I know I will always be treated like a racist if I am or not. What is the point of trying anymore? Say anything wrong and you are labeled for life.

I prefer to wait until the investigation is complete, but more and more this is looking like Duke La-cross rape case which was a total farce and brought out the worst in race baiting and the total ineptness and partisanship of the national media.

This is a sad situation I do feel sorry for this young man but it sounds like he was the one who started this incident I saw on the news today his mom is trying to trademark his name what a joke she is going to try to make money off her dead sons name and I wonder when they will start breaking into all the local stores and running out with 10 pairs of air Jordan's you will see it soon just keep watching the news

Well really? Why don't you just get your guns and go on out there and get rid of some of that hate that Obama has cause. Sounds like you don't blame Bush or anybody else. You must just be one of the evil ones.

-Where is the post-racial president on this obvious hate crime? I think hate crimes are stupid. If you hate someone enough to commit murder where the death penalty applies then a "hate" crime added on is pointless when the ultimate penalty is death.

-If a kid being set on fire because of his skin color isn't hate what is? Where are the race hustling Revs. Jackson and Sharpton demanding justice here? Are they absent because the victim's skin color isn't the right color? Hate is hate right?

-Obama needs to stay out of local events until he knows what he is talking about. He butted into the professor Gates case and it turned out he was wrong there. As with any president until he has some facts a simple no comment would suffice?

-Where is obama on the black panthers putting a bounty on the shooters head? This is blatant vigilante- lynching mentality and is wrong for the kkk and just as wrong for the panthers.

-Racism is ugly and vile and regardless of skin color: black, white, yellow, red, it's wrong. Justice should be blind in the matter. If there is a crime let the cops and prosecutors do their jobs.

No, just somebody that has a little common sense. Look at what sharpton and jackson caused at Duke U. with their racist mentality and their hate for white people. I really don't give a rat's a$$ what you think but I guarantee you that when this is all over that it will be nothing like what has been reported. I can say STUPID RACIST and I can tell you the meaning of DUMB-ASS URBAN DWELLER. YOU......

SEE!! Were was obama and the press on this? Seems to me as if the whites are the victims of racism. I mean gee, a black and a white goes for a job with same qualifications the black automatically gets the job and if not he can sue. What about the white boy? I thought we were created equally. I cant remember the last time I heard any reports on a black attacking a white. I have a cousin in florida who was stopped at a redlight when a car full of black pull up and shot him in the side of the face for no reason, luckily he lived but, my family here heard about it by phone, definently not the news.

I notice you always want to turn any discussion into a political discussion against the President so heres some information from your former hero Little George and the Republican Party.

U.S. House passes "hate crime" bill that Bush opposed!!

By Thomas Ferraro

WASHINGTON | Wed Apr 29, 2009 10:57pm BST

WASHINGTON (Reuters)- The Democratic-led U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday approved an expansion of federal "hate crime" laws -- an effort that former Republican President George W. Bush had opposed.

On a vote of 249-175, the House passed and sent to the Senate a bill backed by the new Democratic White House to broaden such laws by classifying as "hate crimes" those attacks based on a victim's sexual orientation, gender identity or mental or physical disability.

-Mr. Post racial president--Barrack Obama made this political and threw the race card-again. Obama and the democrats made this a political issue.

And if you read my post hate crime laws show the ignorance of those who support them. Do you not think that if any one is committing rape or murder there is not already hate in their heart? All you are doing is just adding punishment for a feeling to a crime which is present in all violent crimes--hate.

And Bush is hardly my hero, there were many things I disagreed with him on. However, Bush didn't go out and fan the flames of racism to further his own political cause.

The basic facts are totally against Zimmerman. The boy was unarmed and not doing anything wrong. He had no criminal record.

So Zimmerman who is not a LEO tracks the boy through the neighborhood at night for no reason and an altercation ensues and Zimmerman kills the boy.

Aint no way in hell to turn that into justifiable use of deadly force.

So we think, if that were the case he would already been arrested. There being only being 2 witnesses (zimmerman and martin) it will be hard for them to do anything. The fact is he had grass stains on the back of his clothes, a gash in his head and a bloody nose. Seeing that, its obvious he was attacked. Stated above the law is different in florida. It does not matter that he did not have a weapon, if zimmerman feared for his life and can prove it, than there is absolutley nothing they can do.I seen earlier they reviewed the voice saying "help" and they said it did have characteristics of zimmerman but, without the voice of martin its inaccurate. If someone pins you down they can do all the damage they want. Putting myself in zimmermans shoes, if he had plans of shooting this guy he wouldnt have been in any kind of fight, he would have shot him and it would have been over. We dont have all the information but, from what we have seen unless there are a witness that comes forward, it going to be very hard to charge him

If someone tracks me through the neighborhood in the night for no reason, I'm gonna be prepared for the worst. I'm probably going to be afraid of what he has on his mind. Put yourself in Martin's shoes for a minute you doofus. He was the one being threatened for no reason. Gimme a break.

Zimmerman is an over zealous idiot who provoked a confontation which was totally unnecessary. How can you not understand that????

I understand what your saying, zimmerman could have avoided the whole thing by not confronting him but, from zimmermans story he asked what he was doing. Yes martins girlfriend said he was being followed while talking to him on the cell phone but, if this was sufficient evidence they wouldnt have waitined all this time to interview her. Its unlikely that martin didnt know about zimmerman "keeping an eye out" because many stated he always circled the block. There can be 100 different outcomes from somebody confronting somebody ao we cant assume how martins felt. In martins shoes if i felt he was a threat, seeing he had a cell phone I would have attempted 911 while keeping my eye on him and if he provoked me I would have defended myself. He didnt have any signs (broke nose, bruises) justifing zimmerman attacked first. Just because a known neighborhood watchman asks what you are up, isnt a reason to attack somebody. The evidence that zimmerman was physically attacked and martin wasnt, is why zimmermans hasnt been arrested. If you do not agree then why isnt he convicted?
