Trayvon Martin Debate - Oshkosh, WI

this is the first i've heard of the case and it's a tragedy no matter how it happened. however, i have not read or heard any specific details, other than the parents think it was murder and the shooter claims self defense, indicating the reason for the shooting. but if it turns out that it was self defense, there better be a damn good reason that an adult used deadly force on a child. unless your life is immediately threatened and could possibly be over in a matter of seconds, i believe there is always something else that can be done before using deadly force. the shooter allegedly sustained very minor injuries and [i've read] he didn't even seek medical treatment until the next day. it sounds to me like deadly force was not needed and Trayvon he should still be alive. more and more people are committing violent crimes and too often for petty and ridiculous reasons. what happened to loving your neighbor as yourself? an eye for an eye and the world will go blind.

we dont have all the details and the media has allowed a mob mentality to take over.
