This is a tragic racial injustice ask the sheriffs if this had been their son walking around in a hoodie would it be ok for him to profile and shot him . I have 5 interracial boys and even my 5 year old wears a hoodie it's a garment not a statement that you are a drug addict or gangster .We live in a town with 1024 people and do I go around profiling people because I feel they have on the wrong type of clothes or are the wrong color .Good grief this is 2012 we have an awesome black president.We no longer are in the dark ages we all bleed the same color ..God Bless you Trayvon Martin...RIP

It had nothing to do with the stupid jacket he was wearing people, get real! Mr. Zimmerman was on his back on the ground with Mr. Martin on top of him, when was shot. Could this whole unfortunate incident have been avoided? Yes. Is it being exploited for monetary and political gain? Yes. BTW, Miss Banks, your link isn't working properly.

None of us were there, none if us should pretend we know what happened. It sucks that someones life was taken, but all crimes against another person are hate crimes - regardless of race. You know, where is the rallying cry for the young blacks of Little Rock that die at the guns of each other EVERY YEAR? Statistically the most dangerous thing to a black male is another black male - that's the reality that's tragic. Prayers and peace to the families of both sides.

I believe zimmerman should seek the death penalty for murdering Trayvon. I find it hard to believe that an 140 lbs teen can beat up an 260 lbs man!! Its seems everyone is trying to cover up the incident to make it look like self defense... but to kill someone because of the color of his skin is outrageous!!!! zimmerman should have been arrested the same night the tragedy occurred,but since his skin color is different from Trayvon's he was able to walk the streets. SEEK JUSTICE FOR TRAYVON & ALL OTHER AFRICAN-AMERICANS WHOM DIED AT THE HANDS OF OTHERS!!!!1

Does it really matter how old someone is when they are beating the crap out of you and trying to kill you? What should Zim do ask for his ID before the defends him self? What would you do? Would you let him beat you down because hes a teen? Some of these young teens will kill you dead, They don't care it's like swatting a fly to them. When someone is trying to kill you age doesn't matter.

If you look at the video when Mr. Zimmerman is walking with other people he is a lot smaller than the others with him. And he sure isn't that fat to be 260 Lbs.
