Why are they using a picture from when he was 12 years old? His most recent Facebook pictures are much different. Slouchy pants, shirtless, cap on sideways flipping the camera the bird with two hands.

Do I think the guy who chased him was wrong to do it? Yup. Let the cops handle this stuff. But he had several opportunities to shoot Martin before it came to a physical confrontation if that had been his motive. Sounds like he took the guy on, Martin was getting the best of him, and he shot him. 9-11 calls support that as the situation. The Hispanic man who shot Martin had not been charged yet, but most likely would have been after investigation. The man over the chief is black, btw.

Did Obama call for justice when the four blacks followed the white CU grad student off the light rail two years ago and slaughtered him in cold blood as a gang initiation? Did Jesse Jackson call for an indictment of the juvenile who confessed the crime but was never charged? I could go on and on with these kinds of incidents.

Obama is a divider who can't be everyone's president. And this overkill will backlash. Just what is it that protestors are hoping to gain from this tragic story? Attention, and political one-upmanship. Shameful. Just like with the az shootings, the left shows that they will use ANYBODY to further their agenda.

I think I just teared up a little,... seeing these righties defending a Hispanic may be a sign of hope for immigration reform.

This is truely an emotional experience for me. One I thought would never come.

The bad thing is,... he's a murderer.

Black kids in hoodies are not dressed for being shot. There is no "shoot me" line of clothing. In a recent interview with Al Sharpton ( you can review) City Manager Norton Bonaparte verbally slipped and called it a "murder". Bonaparte is black and apparently puts his job of defending the city ahead of justice for it's citizens. May Goid bless Tracy Martin and may God have mercy on that community.

You are an antagonist, Mouse. To what end? That is what I would ask of Obama and the people who are ready to have a hanging, here. How is this helpful?

No one is defending anyone, regardless of your race-baiting. But more light and less heat would be good for America in general.

Of course, that is not why you are here, and everyone knows it.

We don't know we where not there. All the Jesse Jackson types need to calm down and get the facts straight instead of all the racial hate.

Facts we KNOW....

Zimmerman called the police, and the authorities asked Zimmerman was he following Martin and when he responded "yes" they instructed Zimmerman to STOP.

Zimmerman didn't.

He confronted the unarmed teenage Martin, enticed a physical scuffle with him and then murdered him by shooting him.

In America a teenager cannot wear a hoodie in the rain and buy candy without fearing for his life!

More facts we know

Zimmerman was the neighborhood watch captain and had a duty to keep an eye on things. bottom line he had as much right to be on that street as Martin

The picture being used by the media to draw sympathy is several years old. The poor defensless teenager was 6 foot two and a football player.

The little angel was suspended from school at the time of the shooting

An eye witness says Martin attacked Zimmerman from behind as he was walking away. Martin got Zimmerman on the ground as was pummeling him while Zimmerman yelled for help.

Police verified that Zimmerman had an injury to the back of the head, a broken nose and grass stains on the back of his clothes. this backs up the eye witness account

A black neighbor guy said there was a lot of crime in the neighborhood and most of it was caused by blacks.

I guess a kid cant beat the hell out of people on the way to buy candy and get away with it.

Great post. ABC is now reporting that it is Zimmerman screaming for help. He did many things wrong, but he wasn't looking to kill this guy.

Some people enjoy fanning the flames, and they are the people who divide us the most.

Where did I say the KILLER should be sentenced to jail or death? I didn't!!!!!

The fact is this KILLER did what he was told not to and a confrontation took place and he KILLED a young man and should be arrested and tried on murder charges.

If I had a fat killer following me at night in the dark and confronted me I would sock him in the nose also, that does not deserve a death sentence the only judge jury and executioner was the fat wanna b Zimmerman.

SANFORD -- As thousands of people gathered here to demand an arrest in the Trayvon Martin case, a more complicated portrait began to emerge of a teenager whose problems at school ranged from getting spotted defacing lockers to getting caught with a marijuana baggie and women’s jewelry.
The Miami Gardens teen who has become a national symbol of racial injustice was suspended three times, and had a spotty school record that his family’s attorneys say is irrelevant to the facts that led up to his being gunned down on Feb. 26.
In October, a school police investigator said he saw Trayvon on the school surveillance camera in an unauthorized area “hiding and being suspicious.” Then he said he saw Trayvon mark up a door with “W.T.F”— an acronym for “what the f---.” The officer said he found Trayvon the next day and went through his book bag in search of the graffiti marker.

WHO cares.....Just because the young man was having trouble in school does not give anyone the right to KILL him for walking through a neighborhood in the rain with a hoodie on! Are you saying this KILLER knew Trayvon was having difficulties in school and he had to save society from this criminal? Trayvon wasn't doing anything wrong and was murdered!

It was a baggie with marijuana "reside" and this is a weak comment coming from a person who lives in a stste where growing pot is legal.

But to your (ill-plotted) point ...

Do you think Zimmerman was aware of this before he approached Martin - or - are you just trying to find some sort of reasoning for Zimmerman assuming this kid was a criminal element?

"He was a pot-head" is a pretty faqr reach from Colorado, isn't it, hypocrite?

"E-Z Gee-Zee" is what George Zimmerman will be known by in Gainesville Max.

This is the same old demonize the victim mentality, Trayvon was not carrying anything illegal was not doing anything illegal he was walking with candy and tea last time I checked that is not against the law not even in a uptight gated community in which his father lives!

All we know for absolute sure is,

George Zimmerman doesn't want to go to prison after killing an unarmed black teenager.

No, those angry black innocent convicts won't be very acceptable to his theology in Gainesville Max.

On the other hand we also know without a doubt, that there's a $10k bounty on him just outside his front door.

Therefore, we can deduct that Zimmerman in under house arrest waiting on his uncertain future, having nightmares about what's gonna happen to him once he is convicted.

And he will indeed be convicted.
