Trayvon Martin Debate - Bristol, TN

As more and more information starts to come out it seems to me this kid isn't the angel he was being painted to be, and the guy who shot him had a reason to be in fear for his life. My opinion may change if more information comes out, but as it stands now, it looks to me like this was tragic, but it isn't criminal

It does seem to be a horrible accident at this point & I am still shocked that this has turned into another racist B.S. platform. Why do African Americans always have to loot & destroy when 1 individual in their race has been wronged? I don't believe in the racist B.S. surrounding this issue at all & am sick to death of people who flash the racism card! Truly disgusting! Horrible, horrible accident that was provoked by an authority figure informing an individual to defend himself over the phone. If authorities told the man to defend himself, then how can they arrest him at this point? It just happened to be an African <---forget that B.S. as well, It just happened to be a young Black American citizen by chance. Enough already: why do white Americans not riot, loot, & destroy when Blacks & other races commit atrocities against them & their race?

Right now we are only hearing what the news wants us to hear. They are only going to show the negative point and put as much spin on it as they can because that's what gets the ratings.
Gets old and people become numb to everything.

The thing that bugs me about the whole thing is that the guy that shot him is half hispanic! For some reason though his white half seems to be getting all the blame. Every time I read the news now black people are talking about how they are getting racially profiled and all this crap but you never hear about when black people commit crimes against whites. Channon Gail Christian, 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., 23, were a couple from Knoxville, Tennessee. They were both raped, tortured and murdered after being kidnapped early on the morning of January 7, 2007. Their vehicle had been carjacked. Five suspects were arrested and charged in the case all black but where was the public out cry for that. It barely made the news! I hate that the kid got shot and dont support racism in any form but it is complete BS that when something like this happens its blame whitey time.

I don't think it had much to do with race. It doesn't matter to me what the races were. My personal opinion is that justice would be served if Zimmerman was hanged by his neck until he was dead. I've heard all I need to hear. If he isn't killed, it will open up a flood gate of thugs (2 of which have posted here) that would first accost somebody. Provoke them, engage them and then shoot them, kill them, and then claim self-defense. I'd like to see him dead for the good of the country.
