Trayvon Martin Debate - Allentown, PA

I think the information is obvious and it wasn't an accident. If I was a a black teen being followed by a big white guy in a pick up truck through my neighborhood, I would have ran too. Given the same situation and that guy tries to detain me, while wearing a t-shirt and jeans, I would have fought back defending myself. Zimmerman was clearly the aggressor, thus he loses the chance to use self defense as an excuse. He was told not to pursue the juvenile, and as a neighborhood watch member, he was told that he may not carry a gun while on watch.
He broke the law and I believe the only reason he wasn't arrested or realistically investigated was because he was white and the victim was black.

I agree, Zimmerman clearly was the aggressor. The poor kid was just walking home with his can of ice tea, his candy and talking on the phone to his girlfriend. I can't understand why this man pursued him. 911 told him not to go after him, but no, Mr. bigshot with his gun had to go after this kid and kill him. All the pictures I've seen, he looks like the nicest kid. I feel so sorry for his family. I cannot believe this man has not been arrested. This is really disturbing.

This is a racist who harassed and started a fight with an innocent "juvenile black male". He was visiting from S. Florida. He racially profiled and shot because of how he dressed and the color of his skin by some neighborhood watch member who had murder on his mind. This isn't a manslaughter case, this is second degree murder at the least. This judge hopefully will make an example out of this case and give this coward, child killer at least 25-30 yrs. Plea.

Hey, for once we agree!!

Cops need to be looked into for not at the very least detaining him and revoking his permit while this is being investigated.
This is NOT self defense and NOT a stand your ground case.

I hope Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton go all out on this. For once they have a reason.

Zimmerman is part Hispanic and part German. Zimmerman is hardly a Latino name.
But Trayvon was followed, even after the police dispatcher told Zimmerman NOT to follow him. When he ran, the dispatcher again told Zimmerman that he didn't have to pursue him. But he did. Why? Had he not followed Trayvon, Trayvon wouldn't have had to "stand his ground", the self defense law written in Florida. He stood his ground and defended himself from a threat chasing him. That threat then shot him because he was getting beat up.

looks like we might be wrong the more information that is coming out the more it looks like he should of shot him.

looks like after the dispather told him not to follow him he stopped and martin may of jumped him there is also an eye witness to atest to this which maybe why the cops never arrested him. FYI he is just as much Latino as white very unfortunate the media puts white in front of hispanic to drum up racial tensions. It think we need to hear the full story here. If this was a black on black crime the media wouldnt even cover this.

What the hell does last name have to do with anything? Mom is mexican father is german mom took last name of husband from marriage. So if Obamas mom gave him the last name of dunham would he be a white african american??? NYT sure thinks so a white hispanic lol what a joke.

Did he? White or Hispanic doesn't change the fact that an armed adult chased an unarmed kid. The unarmed kid at some point stopped and defended himself from the adult chasing him. Had Zimmerman stayed in his car, Trayvon would still be alive, and Zimmerman wouldn't be getting charged one day. He knew that he was only allowed to observe and report, and was not allowed to carry a gun while on watch. He broke the rules, was overzealous and got an innocent kid killed.

What color is Christina Aguilera? She's 100% Hispanic. Blonde and as white as Drew Barrymore.
And race doesn't change the fact that he chased an innocent child when he was told not to.
