Soft Drink Names Debate - Cookeville, TN

I'am from the midwest and that is what we call it.

all that I drink as far as carbonated drinks go

Coke is a brand name of cola, but I know a person who calls all drinks Coke. Maybe soft drinks would be more correct in talking about pop, soda, carbonated drinks, etc. I don't know. It's called so many things everywhere you go!

Lol. I try not to. People up north are just as smart and just as dumb as people down here. The heat is hard to adjust to though.

South is all we know sodas by is coke.. The only real drink is a coke anyway

It's crazy, but yes I call all soda beverages Coke because I grew up in the South.

I was went to a vending machine to get a drink and the girl I worked with said she'd like a Coke so I got her one. When I gave her the can, she wrinkled her nose and said she didn't drink Coca-Cola and that she wanted a Mountain Dew. I said if you just told me you wanted a Mountain Dew I would have got one for you. From then on when she said Coke I knew she wanted Mountain Dew. I'm a Yankee so I learned a lot so far. A boggin is a cap, arny water is irony water and come go with me means bye. Learning Russian woulf have been easier!

I dont drink carbonated drinks... so they could all be coke lol. I wouldnt know. But thats what my family called them growing up.

Don't know why but all brands are just Coke to me. As a child we called all a " cold drink". This included all brands of "Coke."

Southerners drink "Coke"
