This wouldn't be an issue at all if we kept these leaches(politicians) from meddling in foreign countries

Dear Sankar,
Back in late XIX and the first half of XX Century, there was no such a thing as welfare. Most of immigrants back then were either Catholics or Jews. And most of them did not even send their kids to public schools, opting for religious education. So, the cost to the rest of the society was close to zero.
Besides, back then anyone with relatively mediocre skills could become a middle-class. Today you have to have a good education to make it.
So comparing "old" immigrants and "new" one is not appropriate.
I did not compare, the other person talked about his ancestors. But to your point, are you opposed to immigrants (assuming only the illegal ones) only because they take more from welfare than give?.

You never know, the population of mexicans is increasing big time in U.S,some point in the future they might be making the rules. Our country has passed immigration rules in the past limiting certain ethnic population from our country, putting certain native born groups in reservations, incarcerating a whole group because of their ancestral country.
It is the same lesson that we give the immigrants, if we do not assimilate we might be those that are left out.

I can't speak for the commenter but all my ancestors came through Ellis Island, off the boats from Europe. The new waves of immigrants seem to be mostly Arabic, Chinese, or Hispanic, with the latter being almost entirely illegal. The crux of my problem is that lawbreakers do not deserve any consideration except deportation, and anchor babies need to that citizenship status removed, with no exceptions. This is how most other non-3rd world countries treat the issue.
You do realize that till the 1950's Arabic, Chinese etc could not migrate to U.S. Those from the Americas could immigrate though.
Your solution is "eye for an eye", which does not seem to be applied to other crimes.

Any legal or illegal immigrant should put money into the system before he/she takes it back. And yes, everyone should take no more than he/she puts there..

This world shouldn't allow being able to provide services to all people to be dictated by monetary, land marks & land boundaries. When do you all think people should start helping people and stop listening to governments who are hypocrites?
