I do NOT support all cuts and tax increases for Ryan's billionaire friends. Cuts for the middle class, increases for the top 2%, national health care are the answers. Not more of the failed policies of Reagan, Bush and Bush lite.

Ryan's plan ends Medicare. It's like saying you get a 25 cent coupon on your next new car purchase. It is completely worthless. Ryan's plan ends Medicare and pushes old people on the street and means death for a great many.

Of course there is a fix for Medicare. It's called single payer universal health care. It costs less. It provides much better care. It reduces the amount spent on health care by billions. It is the only sound solution.

There are times that require doing the RIGHT thing even though it hurts. Things like this wouldn't be necessary if our government could learn to do what they preach to us.. live within your means.. right Obama.

The right thing is not telling Grandpa that he can no longer have access to medical care because we have to give more of our money to the extremely wealthy. The right thing would be to have fair taxation where the rich actually pay their own way. That way the rest of us wouldn't have to cut our own throats to give them even more.

doing the right thing is giving the wealthy another tax cut and in order to afford this tax cut we get to end medi care. please think for yourself.

Reform is coming. We can do it on our own terms or we can do it under the pressure of a government financial crisis. Ryan is simply dealing with reality, not continued denial.

It still isn't enough. You can take all of the income of the people in the cross hairs and we'd still have an unsustainable deficit. It simply isn't possible to avoid entitlement reform. Truth is, Ryan didn't go far enough. His plan leaves everyone 55 and up untouched. That's grossly unfair to younger people.

Now that the ponzi scheme is obvious and that 100% certain, promises will be broken, it's time that everyone in the program share some of the disappointment. Benefit adjustments should start immediately.

bottom line is this.. if the republicans really cared about the debt they wouldn`t constantly vote for more tax cuts, keeping oil and agri subsities etc. sure by themselves they don`t pay off the debt but together they make a dent.

The reason medicare is in trouble is because of the rising cost of health care, which is outstripping inflation. The Democrats have, in fact, enacted a plan which will rein in the rising costs of health care - it is called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

No, it won't. Price controls mean nothing. The only ways available to control healthcare inflation are 1) Curb demand; 2) Expand supply; 3) Increase competition. Obamacare does none of this. It promises more services to more people and gives people fewer reasons to care about costs, so 1 ain't happening. 2 is out as well. Price controls make life worse for doctors and capital providers. Smart 10th graders will soon figure out that aspiring to be a doctor is a dumb idea. 3 isn't happening as we transition to fewer choices and more government control.

And after naming the law, the Democrats might just as well have gotten in a circle and clicked their heels three times. Both are equally effective in controlling healthcare costs and protecting patients. If Congress really was that good at making dreams come true, they should've just jumped ahead and outlawed cancer. Yeah, I got it. Make it the Patient Protection, Affordable Care and No More Cancer Act. LOL.

Medicare is in trouble because it's actuarially unsound as well. Longer lives and fewer workers supporting an ever larger number of retirees draining benefits eventually explodes. It's a ponzi scheme. And letting everyone 55 and over walk away with their benefits, stuffing only younger people with the consequences is pure generational theft and is immoral.

You're thinking is a big part of the problem. Your party and president have spent more taxpayer money than anyone before him in history. Hell, he's spent more other peoples money than the last three combined with ZERO results. What happened to his shovel ready jobs? Where did those trillions go? Congrats.. you've managed to expose yourself as a clueless clown who can't think their own thoughts anymore.. from now on just say Baaaaaaa, Baaaaaaa, Baaaaa! You and OWE-bama will still be claiming it's Bush's fault in 2030 if either or both of you live that long.

Ryans plan would save medicare, Obumas budget called for taking so much money from medicare that it would totally abolish it. You lefties need to learn about what you are speaking before spewing your hatred and lies. Ryans plan doesn't effect any "old" person and throws no one out in the street. The government cannot run anything properly, leave my healthcare alone.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
