Ryan's plan would turn Medicare spending into a voucher system, severely cut Medicaid spending, give ENORMOUS tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans, increase taxes on the middle class, and cut or eliminate programs such as education, research, parks, environmental protection, and food safety.
The Ryan budget would devastate many poor and middle class Americans and undo the progress made toward recovery under Obama.
Under Reagan, this was known as trickle down economics. It didn't work then (he raised taxes to bring in needed revenue), it didn't work under George W. Bush (the deficit & debt exploded, and job creation was anemic), and it won't work for Romney-Ryan!
Barack Obama ran on hope and change in a time of worldwide financial meltdown, the deepest recession since the 1930s depression. In the lst months of Bush's term, the stock market continued to plummet, worldwide credit was frozen, and banks "too big to fail" were propped up by massive infusions of Gov't. money.
Unfortunately, the Republican leadership did not work with the President, rather their top priority was to make Obama a one-term President, at the expense of the economy. Despite Republicans tactics, 4 million private sector jobs have een added since 10/2009. Our economy is better off now that the stock market has receovered and Americans are protected from the worst abuses of the health insurance industry.
To implement the Ryan budget would continue the country on the path it was on before Obama intervened, with wealth at the top, shrinking middle class, and less safety net for the needy.
In West Virginia, most of us stand to lose in such an economy!

They believe Mary was a virgin BEFORE God had intercourse with her. That, my friend, is a fact. They also think they are literal "brothers" with Christ. Their idea of 'salvation' and the Christian idea are two very different and distinct things. Believe me. My brother was Mormon UNTIL he discovered the truth about the church and what is taught in the temple. Then, he wisely renounced the whole goofy religion. Joseph Smith was a man trying to justify his own sin with "God spoke to me, so I can screw all these women at once. It's OK." Today, the church doesn't believe in plural marriage. Who had that "vision" since then and went against what Joseph Smith saw? Whatever. Deny it all you like, but tell me I'm lying. You can't.

You mean like the president is hiding infomation about the Fast and Furious scandal? Or do you mean like he hid his real birth certificate? You people are getting distracted by your leader. Romney has released more years of his taxes than Obama. Obama said that people should stop digging into his personal life and worry about the economy...until he wanted you to dig into his opponent. You Liberals don't see the hypocrisy, but it's glaringly obvious to those of us who aren't hypnotized by him. Use your own brains for once and get a better source. The Huffington Post is about as credible as the Weekly World News.
Looks like Ravenswood is full if libs. I feel for you .you can't explain these things to them ,they are just blinded by false news and not real facts. Great post

Medicare sucks people. Wake up. The Republicans are trying to phase out Medicare for a private company option in an effort to get people to be less dependant on the government. Ryan's plan is a possible first step. Apparently, the House agrees because this thing passed already. Repubicans didn't refuse to work with Obama. They refused to work with Socialist ideas that contradict American values. They are trying to make Obama a one-term President because he has spit on the office of the President since the moment he sat in the chair. He lied to everyone. He has lost jobs, something that even the boneheads Carter and Bush didn't do. Gas prices are higher than ever. He's tried multiple times to raise taxes on everyone, including and especially the middle class. However, your Liberal media won't tell you that. You won't see an article on that in the Huffington or NY Times, because they aren't news. They are the Liberal version of Fox News...a joke.

So, if during Bush the "deficit & debt exploded," what do we say for Obama since he made it even worse? Did it atom bomb?

Nobody's plan "eradicates Medicare." Ryan's plan doesn't effect baby boomers at all. Go back and read up on it instead of listening to Liberal media. The Romney-Ryan plan is a bi-partisan plan that passed in the House. One of the main reasons why is because it doesn't effect anyone over the age of 55. This is all just more class warfare from a scared president with a terrible record.
damm we are empressed there loud arse. i will validate you this time. just don't forget to up date that excel spread sheet.

Okay Psycho. Do the last three comments count as separate since they are on different threads or are they the same since it is essentially the same comment? Remember, we want to keep the validity of the record.

Yes Romney has been succesful and made millions, he has also released one years tax returns which is required. I would rather have someone who has been succesful in life in the White House. The last time I looked there were tons of Democrats who have all made millions.....like Kennedys, John Kerry (Heinz Ketchup), Nancy Pelosi, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Brad Pitt, etc etc. but people always ignore that fact.
Rommney donates 16% to his church and other orginazations to help the poor. Last year Vice president Biden donates 2/10ths of 1 percent.
Romney will open up the KeyStone pipeline which will create thousands of jobs, use coal, and energy from our country. All of this will create jobs. By putting people back to work they'll all be contributing by paying payroll taxes etc etc and hopefully we'll see gas prices lowered....and when that happens our grocery prices will come down.....
Let's just hope Romney wins..because we cannot afford another 4 years of Obama!!! Just think are YOU better off today??? think about it when you fill up your truck or get groceries or buy your kids new school clothes....Thanks for listening......

If you truly believe this, you are gullible beyond belief and buying into the biggest line of crap the Republicans are selling! I call BS - big time.

Hope Romney wins? Not in this lifetime OR the next. He ships jobs overseas and hides his tax returns. Like my paw-paw always said,

"People with nothing to hide, hide nothing."

Ask yourself ... what is Romney hiding? Yeh - vote for him and we'll just see what shape America is in when Big Money gets done protecting the rich and sending our jobs to other countries. What an id*ot!

I'm voting Democrat because I think nation-wide gay marriage is a necessary civil right, because coal and oil are killing the environment and must be run out of business, and pick-ups and SUVs are similarly ruining our mother earth. we need the Democrats to protect us.
