yes! A brilliant choice. Obama can no longer hide behind his deceitful super packs that put out lies. Obama is now forced to talk about the issues. Ryan is a brilliant young man. He will make a great VP and a great president in 2020!

Yes! A terrific choice ... for Obama. Romney just made Obama's re-election a little easier; maybe a lot easier.
Obama now has a specific Republican congressman he can point to when explaining how the do-nothing congress has undermined the recovery. And, while Romney has been trying to distance himself from Ryan's extremist budget (even going so far as pretending he has his own budget plan), now he can't avoid it.

I heard his speech in Iowa - standard politcal boilerplate, fearmongering, nonsense.

I think everyone knows - even conservatives - that Obama won so decisively in 2008, that we effectively elected him to two terms. So far, this is a repeat of 2008. A GOP elite candidate, who is not even popular in his own party, backed by a more likeable, charismatic, but inexperienced VP candidate...sound familiar?

Have you noticed the US map? It's starting to turn green. Just a few specks of the other color.
Green means they support Ryan.

Democrats are VERY happy with the choice, but not because we support Ryan! LOL! If only you could think logically. You'd embarrass yourself much less often.

It's amazing. Just not so long ago Democrates were praising Ryan (including the President) and now that he's the VP pick they're suddenly backtracking, bashing and attacking him; no doubt regretting their kind words from what they were calling a honest, decent, hardworking man those same comments are showing dishonesty and their true colors.

Are you saying that a community organizer has more experience then a US Rep.? I hope not. At least make it about the issues and not about who has more experience then the next.

Nobody is attacking Ryan himself. We are attacking his irresponsible and reckless economic plan and his extremist political ideology. Big difference.

At least make it about an HONEST comparison.

Romney/Ryan are now ahead in Colorado and closing the gap in Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina according to the new CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac poll. There has not been a poll in Florida since Aug 1, before Romney picked Ryan.
Also according to the new Zogby poll Romney has gained ground with young people, up to 41%.
So it looks like Ryan was a smart choice.

Pick Among Least Positive Historically PRINCETON, NJ -- Four in 10 Americans rate Mitt Romney's selection of Rep. Paul Ryan to be his running mate as either "excellent" or "pretty good," while 42% call the choice "only fair" or "poor." This even division is among the least positive reactions to a vice presidential choice Gallup has recorded in recent elections. Only George H.W. Bush's selection of Dan Quayle in 1988 generated a higher negative response, although it also generated higher positives. ... Most Voters Say Ryan Won't Affect Their Vote in November Ryan's direct impact on the ticket is only slightly positive, with 17% of Americans saying his selection makes them more likely to support Romney and 12% less likely to support him, while 66% say it will not affect their vote.

Thought he should pick a person that would help win a strategic state. But I think Ryan is an awesome pick since he can help win all states. The "greatest" generation will like becuase they will believe that it is better to make the fixes now than wait until its too late
