Offshore Drilling Debate - Alice, TX

If you look at products that we buy all of them are tied to the oil and gas industry on one way or the other. Curtailing drilling will have a negative effect on what we sell, buy, and use.

Most everything we buy has oil or carbon in it from or as a bi product from crude. make up, medicines, plastics, paint, and most household chemicals. This is a major part of our lives, recycling is our future.

If you drove to work today you use gas or diesel and oil so no matter what we need to keep drilling. Yes fishermen are mad at drilling companies but, what will the offshore oilfield workers do ?

They stop drilling cuz look wat happend to BP.

we are distoring the earth's core the more we drill off shore the worst the weather is goin to get... Off shore earthquakes will only get worst...

We need to stop... Not just th US but all together everywhere. We need to find another way. I agree everything is tied in w/oil & gas but if they can find an alternative, that would resolve the problem for work, the economy & most importantly our planet. The oil in the Earth lubricates it just like in a machine. Oil takes thousands of yrs 2b made naturally from dead animals & sea life. Once that oil is removed & runs out ......, this machine we call EARTH will b gone. Nothing last forever. We need to do something about it b4 it too late. We as in ALL the Countries & Nations. There r plenty of smart ppl out there we r just lazy & spoiled. You may say the world will never end in our lifetime but things r already happening. We r just so blind & skeptical to the truth. I'm no Rocket Scientist but it doesn't take a lot of common sense to realize the damage we r doing. Wish I had funds to dedicate my brain to a great education. However, I know that there r ppl out there that have these funds & a great brain as well. Please put it a good cause. A great brain can do wonders.
