Oh...there are plenty of jobs? The state unemployment rate is 9.6%. The unemployment rate in Jackson County (Medford)is 11.6%. Where do you suggest the unemployed find a job? 4 OREGON logging companies were given stimulus money to hire Oregonians. These logging companies found a loop hole(they said they couldn't find any experienced loggers in Oregon!) and brought in workers from other countries. Where's your outrage at that? http://www.oregonlive.com/politics/index.ssf/... These kind of actions by the money grubbing corporations are the reason people all over America and all over the world are in the street. You're remark is that of a typical RWL and not based on any sort of reality. I AM THE 99% |

What crashed the economy was stupid government mandates, perpetrated by the Liberal likes of Dodd and Frank, that forced banks to loan trillions of dollars to low-life's that had no intention of paying it back!
There's your real parasites. I am the 1%...and, PROUD OF IT! |

I support the movement because I love democracy and I see that my elected reps are being purchased by giant corps.

Why don't you enlighten us and tell us where said jobs are? Surely not in the Christmas Valley wasteland. You're a member of AFP?...oh...then that makes you a Kochsucker. "Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is a group fronting special interests started by oil billionaire David Koch and Richard Fink (a member of the board of directors of Koch Industries). AFP has been accused of funding astroturf operations but also has been fueling the "Tea Party" efforts.[1] AFP's messages are in sync with those of other groups funded by the Koch Family Foundations and the Koch's other special interest groups that work against progressive or Democratic initiatives and protections for workers and the environment.".... "AFP advocates pro-tobacco industry positions on issues like cigarette taxes and clean indoor air laws. The name "Americans for Prosperity" will sound familiar to tobacco prevention policy advocates, as Americans for Prosperity worked around the U.S. in recent years to defeat both smokefree workplace laws and cigarette excise tax increases." THERE'S MORE... http://sourcewatch.org/index.php... What a lovely bunch of cocoNUTS! |

You want respect from me? Then how about some from you? TO WIT: "I will enlighten you since you are ill-informed." (BTW, I'm anything but "ill-informed") "If you really want to be helpful you might want to go to the occupy Portland and help delouse the occupiers." ~~~~ The word Kochsucker has been used in major articles describing what those two are supporting AND their supporters. Get over yourself. ROFLMAO! First you tell me there are lots of jobs in ND. In the next sentence you say there are no places to live if one did actually go to ND. There are blizzards in ND. Well now, that does present a problem, don't ya think? That's it? Those "abundant" jobs are in ND? Got news for ya...those jobs are OIL PIPE LINE JOBS... The pipe line is going to be defeated and POOF... There go all your so called abundant jobs. Got anymore brilliant suggestions other than destroying the planet? How about jobs in Oregon. You said there are plenty of jobs....WHERE ARE THEY? I'm FULLY aware of AFP and what their function is. "Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is a group fronting special interests started by oil billionaire David Koch and Richard Fink (a member of the board of directors of Koch Industries). AFP has been accused of funding astroturf operations but also has been fueling the "Tea Party" efforts.[1] AFP's messages are in sync with those of other groups funded by the Koch Family Foundations and the Koch's other special interest groups that work against progressive or Democratic initiatives and protections for workers and the environment." http://sourcewatch.org/index.php... Ahhhh...the magic, mystical George Soros....the neo-cons Freddie Kruger. Ok...you made this statement...now prove it. Explain how Soros has "has already ruined other countries economies and now he's doing it to the USA" (Soros gave away over $8 billion to human rights, public health, and education causes. Yeah...that's real evil.) Come on now, you said it...now you back it up....and NOT with any RWL web sites. I know...how about we talk about the Koch brothers and their interference with democracy? Lets go! Heh Heh...teachers were "TOLD?" to leave their classrooms...lol...YA..LIKE 100,000 TEACHERS, PUBLIC WORKERS AND SUPPORTERS that showed up to demonstrate against Scott Walker. THESE ARE EXACTLY THE KIND OF TEACHERS I WANT TEACHING MY CHILDREN. They are brave, dedicated and are willing to stand up for what's right.. AND MOST OF ALL, demonstrate CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. BTW...Walkers going down...just like John Kasich, who's anti-union bill is going down and his popularity plummeting. The next to go will be that twit and criminal Rick Scott. It seems all your hero's are tanking and there's a good reason for that. Tell me, when the police unions call for the union members to get the "Blue Flu" all on the same day...That's ok, is it? Cops, nurses, firemen, prison guards ALL have unions. Do you object to those unions as well? I bet not! The taxes may be low in Christmas Valley but you seem to have a few water problems. I'd rather pay little more in taxes and have potable drinking water. Anybody that has EVER bought land would recognize there's something wrong when a 15 acre parcel of land goes for $7000. I notice it's 25 degrees in the valley at this very moment. NO THANKS. What is your fascination with lice? If they are bothering you there's this product called RID. I hear it works well. John Kasich's Poll Numbers Continue to Plummet http://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/arc... Thousands protest at the White House against Keystone XL pipeline http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2011/no... Think these people need to be deloused? You're an idiot! ~~~~~~~ Seniors block busy Chicago street to protest cuts to social programs Chicago police on Monday issued citations to 43 senior citizens and their supporters who linked arms to block an intersection near the city’s financial district. The action was part of a protest against proposed cuts to Social Security, Medicare and other benefits. The Jane Addams Senior Caucus (JASC), their supporters and “Occupy Chicago” began the demonstration with a rally outside the office of Illinois Sens. Mark Kirk (R) and Dick Durbin (D). The group, which organizers claimed was nearly 1,500-strong, then marched to the Federal Plaza. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/11/07/seniors... |

It blows my mind that they are protesting against Wall Street and the rich, but completely ignore the fact that the government does nothing about it. Obama admin says they are corrupt, but why don't they prosecute? It's the Justice Depts. job! Why does Obama take donations from the same rich people they are protesting against, and they say nothing about that? Occupy movement is misguided, anger is misdirected, it's people trying to relive the 60s and doing it badly.
I have zero respect for this violent group who have no clue what they are protesting about. Sure they say against the rich, wall street, and greedy banks, but they say nothing about the government who not only gets donation from them, but refuses to prosecute the so-called corruption that exists. The Obama admin and Justice Department DOES NOT PROSECUTE the big greedy bad guys, and that does not bother the occupy mob at all? They don't breathe a word against their god Obama or his henchmen, or even against the Unions who are sitting on mountains of worker's cash. What a bunch of suckers.
Why is everyone worried about taxing big corporations? Do you not realize that money they take in for expansions and job creating is exactly what you need? Why not call for taxing the bonuses being paid out, the high salaries, and huge dividends paid to stock holders? Other than those things, leave the corporations alone, don't over tax and over regulate and kill expansion and job creation. As an additional note, I think we need to start another movement called "Occupy Jebediah" because those simple Amish folks are not paying taxes, and they have so much land and cash. Maybe we should tax those baddies so much their beards gray. We should also start "Occupy Big Mac" because they wouldn't give some self-righteous fool free food in NYC. |
Wall Street Bankers crashed our economy with the help of their sycophants in government. www.legalparasites.net/
You're right and Obama rewarded the banksters and fraudster corporate executives and hedge fund managers by "bailing them out because they were too big to fail" and then another trillion dollars wasted on a "stimulus package" that stimulated the rich and nobody else! Obama is raising one billion dollars. Will he get it from the millions of Americans who have lost jobs, cars, and homes since he took power? NO. He's getting the billion bucks from the rich fat cats who got the bailouts and stimulus money from the US treasury at our expense! Obama is not the solution to the problem, Obama is the problem and so are most other politicians who take corporate money and then destroy American jobs. Examples: Microsoft and other corporations claim that "education will give you good paying jobs", but when there are millions of educated Americans who are qualified to do the jobs, Microsoft and other corporations hire cheap foreign workers who will work for $10,000 a year instead of $40,000 a year! So the corporations are screwing Americans out of jobs and tax money, because they're sending the jobs and tax money to India and other foreign nations. Occupy Wall Street is a good start. The long term solution is to drop out of the system, pool our money, and invest in our own farm lands and small businesses to grow our own foods and make our own money without fighting for corporate slave work in China or India. Stop buying from corporations and grow it yourself! |
100% agree, very well put. We definately need to start leveling some serious taxes against corporations who replace American workers with cheap labor from overseas. As they say too, the number one job growers are small businesses. |
Spoken like the product of a failed educational system. In essence, corporations don't pay "taxes," regardless of what that mindless robot in Econ 101 taught you. Having spent my working career employed by a Fortune 500 company, I can assure you that all corporations pass the cost of taxes on to you, and your flock. |
Wrong smart guy, C corporations do pay federal and state taxes, while S corporations are not since their income is considered shareholder income. For state level, they get taxed for being allowed limited liability which is a either a flat tax or a certain percentage of their taxable income. They also get taxed for doing business within each municipal. For federal taxes, the IRS taxes the C corporations who save their income instead of paying out dividends. They also have to pay capital gains tax on any assets sold after appreciating in value. They also pay employment taxes on behalf of each employee, which for you smart guy are payroll taxes. Those are normally collected unless a bill is passed to ease it for corporations during a lagging economy. Now the question is, since you appear to be so educated, do you know the difference between a C corporation and an S corporation? Smart guy...obviously you have been working your career in the F-500 company, janitorial? |
Anyway, tax the bonuses and monsterous paychecks, ease taxes and regulations which do exist, more expansion, more hiring, oh....and more cheaper products in the long run right Hole? |
