Obama-Economy Debate - Somerset, KY

The bailouts for one, the money should have been givin to the taxpayers and it would have filtered back through the economy, but again they bailed out the rich for doing poor jobs and this trend will continue because the rich knows, no matter how much they screw up our elected leaders will bail them out, pf they were held accountable for their actions things would change, until this happens the economy will be in ruins. These leaders of these big companies should be held accountable instead of getting a slap on the wrist. JMO

We are in a double recession. Our economy has gone nothing but downhill since he took office.

These polls are useless since everyone knows that someone gets one here and votes 150 times. Why bother?

SIX TRILLION DOLLARS later a third grader would have a better economy

All anyone has to do is just look around. For every new business that starts up three old businesses close down. Many of the older more established businesses are constantly downsizing in effort just to stay in business. The politicians can get on television and say whatever they want but it doesn't change the truth. Has the economy got better? I sure don't see any improvement, but then I'm not a politician or a bailout recipient. I am just a working class american struggling to make a living.

You can blame NAFTA for our current problems! We wanted cheap EVERYTHING and NAFTA provided that for us! The problem is we don't have the good paying jobs in this country to pay for the expensive things we want(there are wants and needs!) as well as need! Until we bring back industry to the USA, we will CONTINUE to struggle!

Y E S !!!!! Obama was nowhere around when all the factories started leaving Kentucky. Nafta moved them overseas.

I agree he wasn't here he was in Kenya, Indoneisia or Packistan. His party is the one who signed NAFTA into law ole slick willy Clinton.

When he re-enacted the Patriot Act, he showed his true colors. Businesses are closing, JCP is making a drastic move with their pricing. Stocks made very little money and Obama send our money freely to other countries.

I am very upset with Obama for signing the NDAA, I will say that. He didn't even try to oppose it, just the fact that it didn't give the president enough power.

As for Obama not being able to produce a valid birth certificate, that alone speaks volumes. What I don't understand is the government can change any record they want, and they do.

Oh yea, they did change his birth certificate to Hawaii.

I get on here and I see people whining and placing blame on everyone but themselves. Perhaps if the American people were not asleep behind the wheel and made our voice heard perhaps then we would hold our elected leaders accountable. We continue to vote people into office who are against our financial interest and instead are bought and paid for by corporations. Instead of complaining start doing.

Its starts from the bottom up so here you go complain to the right people, but BEFORE you do make sure you know what is going on and are educated on the problems.....Which is another problem that the American people have. Instead of finding out facts they rely on the talking heads of FOX, MSNBC and CNN. So educate yourself use the time you have to complain on here and research the real issues and then start complaining to the people that can make the difference.

With fair and balanced justice (which is suppose to be a given, but we all know nothing could be farther from the truth) your plan could work.

But we have no justice. The guilty walk free while innocent people are framed for speaking the truth.

Yes you do have the trickle down effect which is why you start from the bottom up. Once you have completed one then start on the next one up. Change never comes from the top down, but the bottom up. If you want to change the status quo then you must be willing to do the hard work starting by making your voice and presence heard starting with City Council and then moving your way up.
