While he wasted the first two years, with his own party infighting, he has passed measures which have helped this country.
His measures have inspired enough confidence in the economy to encourage spending and hiring.

He also turned around the auto industry which the Republicans wanted to leave for dead. Which seemed strange considering how willing they were to bail out the banks which caused a large part of the economic mess in the first place.
If he is allowed to enact middle class tax cuts he has asked for, it will spark the economy even more.

The banks and the auto industry should have all been left to fend for themselves like every American. And if he cuts taxes there will be nothing to pay the bills.

Sorry you disagreed with him saving jobs. I mean the fact that the car industry is not stronger and better without the loss of jobs and the companies have paid back the loans with interest. That was a horrible mistake. Should have watched the companies tank and all the other people that would now be out of work. His plan to cut middle class taxes has off sets that pay for it, but republicans are trying to block it.

I guess my problems with the banks and car industry begins with the fact that those industries don't provide a bail out for consumers when consumers can't pay their bills. And the consumers don't give themselves huge undeserved bonuses. It's the goose and gander principle.

The two bail outs came as a result of letting them consolidate too much. If they had failed they would have taken a lot of people non-banking working class and poor with them. Its a situation which should be addressed but won't be because of lobbiests hired by the banking industry. The administration has worked on plans to assist homeowners that have been hit by the banks. They have also been working on ways to help people that have been ripped off by the banking industry. Personally, I thought the last bank bailout should have been divided among taxpayers. And that middle class tax cuts will stimulate the economy and should be payed for by upper class tax hikes.

All I know is that Obama has added nearly 5 Trillion dollars, that's $5,000,000,000,000, to the national deficit... He's also seeking to raise the debt ceiling by nearly 1.5 trillion dollars more... that's $1,500,000,000,000. I know that the nation has to be in debt, for now at least till it can be fixed, but the democratic party needs to accept the fact that the republicans are right to cut spending and zero the balance... It won't happen as long as obama is president...

Republicans aren't realistic about that. Both parties have their flaws and that's why we are in trouble. But with cuts to Medicare and Social security it still won't be enough. Rand Paul a republican says that cuts to the military have to be included and the republicans aren't willing to listen to that either. Foreign aid needs to be cut. I actually think thst the President would be willing to listen. He has proposed cuts that make Democrats upset. Its congress on both sides holding any deal up. Every politician wants tough cutting but not when its their program.

Personally, I thought the last bank bailout should have been divided among taxpayers. And that middle class tax cuts will stimulate the economy and should be payed for by upper class tax hikes. You can't say definitively what would have happened without the bail outs. Fact is the government needs to get back to running government and let business take care of business.

Along with the shady practice of the banks the fault also lies with the people that were stupid enough to buy a home using the Flexable or varible interest loans. Buying homes that they had no business buy and if they had gotten a fixed rated interest loan they would not have had the problem with their loan payments going sky high because of interest rates went up!

Ues now interst rates are low. But anyone even now that would consider one of thsoe flexable or variable loans need to be do it at their own risk and the rest of us not have to end up paying the price for them being stupid. In fact those loans need to be done away with!

Wow !! How mis informed .lmfao. Obama HAS NOT HELPED OUR ECONOMY. That is a fact. This so called " slowly growing economy " is a false statement. The money being thrown into our economy is printed money that our idiot President is making. Its bogus. Un employment is still down. Inflation is going.up due to printing all this money and all this spending. Welfare recipients are on the rise. Oil production is DOWN.. Private production is up , which has nothing to do with Obama. Obamacare is a complete disaster. He has spent more money then ALL OF OUR PRESIDENTS COMBINED!!!!!! Also , im sorry but green energyis a dream. The world runs on oil , thats a fact. Also a fact, in 2008 Obama said.energy costswill go up if he is elected. Last monthhis energy secretary said gas prices should be as high as Europe.... He is worst then Carter...... America will prove that we are the land of the ignorant if.he is re elected.....

Can anyone explain why the Democratic controlled house and Senate since 2007 through 2010 did NOTHING about passing a budget, lowering the tax rate on the middle class, or taxing the rich as they harp about now. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Pres. Obama can take credit for where we are tocay. Always someone else to blame. Leaders don't lay blame, they fix the problem.
