He propped the economy up with borrowed money, it's gone and the chickens have come home to roost. The coal trains have stopped running, an early signal that hard times are coming.

i agree the republican party are the problem in this country. mitch mcconnell top job is to get obama out of white house. not job. rand paul number one job destory union in ky. romney #1 JOB MAKE us more like china.romney was againt's coal before he was for it.obama said to do without coal in u.s. was not possible. the war against is a rebublican lie.coal market is down because natural gas is cheaper.

Bubba, I am not here to defend Bush. But you need to get on youtube, Obama boasted to a group of his big mouth environmentalist out in California in 2008 that there may be some production of coal but his severe regulations will bankrupt many in the coal industry. But you are correct, gas is cheat and many power plants are converting to gas because they can not comply with Obama's carbon emission requirements.

all ready have watched you tube. the regultions are not obama they are regulations that have been in the works for 40 years bush stalled them with the courts but lost now e.p.a is moveing forward. he said in the intervue that if we try to build a new coal fired power plant it would bankrupt us because of existing regulation. nixon started e.p.a and ron reg and g.h.w.bush and billclinton added to reg to what we have now. coal is not going to go away just temp down that the way it has allwase been. too much coal no enough buyers.

the coal barons are useing this war on coal to try to get republican in white house so the can keep tax breaks going.romney is a billion lier who dont pay taxes.

Coal mine owners without unions to protect you have worked you 7 days a week, 10+ hours a day; then lay you off for 3-6 months. Been doing it for 80 years or longer...EPA/Obama is doing nothing to the coal companies. If they were, there would not be a rise in black lung....miners getting sick again from the EPA allowing dirty coal. The miners' families who have lost their loved ones in the mines are trying to sue the Federal Inspectors for not keeping the mines safe. You want them to back off but sue them when you get sick or are killed? Really??? If you vote against your own self-interest for flip/flop Romney, the middle class will drop down to the poor class and there will be nothing left to eat but the rich!!!!

This is hilarious. Do not base your opinions on guesses and what the politicians you admire say. Do the research, the numbers. Things have gotten dramatically worse. It was no means a trend that began with Bush. We are feeling the effects of some very serious spending. In the least Obama is incompetent. At most he is criminal, and working toward a goal a little more complicated. He is not stupid. He has implimented numerous policies that cost serious money, that never make the news. Do the research yourself, this is very serious. Personally I feel like he seeks governmental control of energy, education, and health care. He got the automobile industry as a bonus. This is a tactic used countless times in history. It is the method of transforming a free market society into a socialist market.

Oh yeah, Bush did such a wonderful job that he was the least liked and approved of President by the American people! Didn't it feel wonderful when Bush gave our tax money to the bankers so they could get huge bonuses and take their vacations! After 8 years of Bush, this country is doing so much better. He started two wars killing thousands of our men and women for OIL! Did he go after Ben Laden??? HELL NO...that was a friend of his. They had "business" together. After Bush put this country into a depression, government spending money was the only way out. Better check your figures, mister! Mitt is incompetent not Obama! You better check your sources, the auto industry is paying the money back, the banks paid nothing back and no charges were ever made against their gambling with money that would effect our whole country. Yes, we have been a aocialist country under bush but it was only helping the rich. Did you know that Mitt received a $10 million government bailout when he under Bain bankrupted. That is socialist, my friend! In American, we help the handicapped, poor, hungry, elderly, our children, and those down on their luck. NOT THE BANKERS AND THE 1%
