Does anyone remember what the previous president did to get us in this mess? The only thing you could hope from ANYONE following that is that the country didn't go to H in a handbasket!

Portland is a subsistence economy - has been forever - with a thin veneer of business so it can claim to be sort of high techy. It always has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country.

Portlanders are cold, insular and dense. They are marginal and this is what happens on the margins. Portlanders and Oregonians in general spent years telling everyone to stay the F*** out so why be surprised when the money stays the F*** out.

Oh yeah, most of the world - Obama included - barely know where Oregon is. Who cares where Oregon is.

Even those of us who live in Oregon do not give a rat's a** where this particular cold, damp, unfriendly, depressing level of hell is.

I guess a lot of you have forgotten that when he took over from Clinton, G W Bush, wasn't handed a budget deficit, he was given a budget surplus!

He had 8 years to give that surplus to the 1% we've heard so much about since last September. It wasn't enough just giving that surplus to folks that didn't need it, he managed to put the burden of a heavy deficit on the backs of folks like you and me, the one's that couldn't afford it, but still wind up paying it.

Do you just have short memories, or do you listen to folks like Rush, rabble rousers at best, that make a fortune stirring the pot, and for no other reason than to line their own pockets at your expense. He doesn't stir that pot for free, ya know, he's part of the one percent, so you see, he has a stake in keeping you angry.

This president may not the leader we need. In my opinion, though, he's a better leader than any I see being presented by his opposition.

The other choice is Mitt Romney who spends money on a car elevator for one of his homes. That home also has its own lobbyist.

Mitt is just a plastic creep who will do anything and say anything to line his own pockets. He would treat the WH as his own private money generating machine.

Lest anyone forget Obama is a moderate Republican. There are no Democrats running for President this year.

" will do anything and say anything to line his own pockets" . So you've just described 98.7% of all politicians. " he would treat the WH as his own private money generating machine". Is that worse than the Libs/Dems/Socialists viewing the tax payers as their own 24/7-365 ATM?. The only place they would drill in a heartbeat is the public's wallets. Obama is at best, a used car salesman. At worst, a president.

The Cons are the worst money whores ever. Everyone, even your postman, knows this.

Since Reagan, the Cons have transferred massive amounts of money from the middle class to the top 1/10th of 1%. Hey, if you make $3Billion in a single year you can have a lower tax rate than your postman.

That is despicable.

Anyone who supports this is despicable.

Cons are despicable. The GOP is pure, unadulterated evil but then you know that.

With a little practice, you might be able to have your own TV or radio show. You could be the left wing version of Rush!

You're without a doubt, one of the funnier Topix attention whores I've read in a while. Demonize, Demonize, Demonize. The default tactic of those who have done nothing, do nothing, produce nothing, and want everything. Cradle-to Grave........that's what you want. Ironically, it's the Fetus-to-Cradle part that your side seems to have a tough time with. Interestingly, your "moderate Republican" president and crew are all over the demonizing tactic ( like you), and on board with the victimize the voter base, and potential voter base approach too. Then again, he has no accomplishments, therefore no choice.

I wouldn't say, NO ACCOMPLISHMETS! Whether it stands the test of the Supreme Court, or not, getting any kind of National Health Insurance through both Houses of Congress, is an accomplishment that 4 former presidents didn't, and, couldn't accomplish. Getting Al Qaeda's big guy, and putting their organization in major disruption isn't bad either. Stopping one war, and winding down another, those aren't accomplishments? Oh I see, is it gas prices? Well yes, presidents do have a lot of control there alright!

As of today you have a new standard bearer. What a bearer he is too! You can depend on him to say whatever it is you want to hear... no matter what it is you want to hear.

He's accomplished a lot too. He's dismantled countless companies and put tens of thousands out of work and onto the unemployment rolls. Now that's one hell of an accomplishment!! Sorry, but it scares me to think of what he might accomplish if elected.

Romney does not contribute to the economy, he destroys it.

Romney destroys jobs, ships money overseas and then hides everything. Why hasn't this POS made his list of assets and tax returns public?

What is this POS flip flopping turd hiding?

Ironic that a mooching deadbeat would callout someone else. When are you going to get off your own ass and contribute something?

They're sealed, along with Obama's colleges transcripts in the glovebox of Rachel Maddow's eighteen wheeler.

You mean they are sealed in the Mormon temple where non-Christians like Romney go to proclaim themselves prophets of God.

So? I don't care if Obama is the devil himself. He's better than a right wing zealot. Hell, I'd kill a few of them if Obama declared open season.
I might just do it anyway.

Yes, when Rachel Maddow parks her eighteen wheeler there.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Gemini

Beware wishful thinking because it will cloud your thoughts and lead to confusion. However, that's much easier said than done, because today you're showing distinct tendencies towards living in a rosy world of your own and ignoring any hard facts that are under your nose. Take care that you don't allow someone to dupe you simply because you aren't paying attention to what they're saying or doing.
