It Sucks Here.

I have been stocking up on food and ammo and more ammo. If obama gets in again, our country is sunk. But you can't make some morons see that so let their ass starve when everything collapses. I wouldn't give them air to breath.

It's always sucked around here have you ever noticed only a select few control everything from wealth to jobs to public office. The recession I'm sure you're referring to started under Bush. You would probably prefer to have Bush back in office wouldn't you. |
|
Yeah but I though that the Messiah was supposed to be sworn into office and heal the land and world.
It's been nearly four years and obama's policies have made things worse. Now you can say Bush was in office when the recession started but Bush hasn't been in power for over three years and has absolutely no say in anything. Obama had complete control of the government for almost 2.5 yrs. He controlled the executive branch and had veto proof majorities in the House an Senate and could have had anything he wanted passed. What he did pass hasn't help a bit and has made things worse. Other than ordering the killing bin laden which took him a week to decide, what exactly has he done??? As for the local economy, the EPA courtesy of obama is waging war on coal mines which is hurting the entire state and people can't spend money on tourism if you don't have a job or are afraid to spend anything because you don't know what the idiots in Washington are going to do next costing you money. |
|
Please know what you're talking about when saying things like "Obama's policies have made things worse." Look at the numbers, they don't lie. The monthly payroll statistics nationwide clearly show that the numbers have gone from a loss of 818,000 jobs in Jan. 2009, when Obama had just taken office, to 16-straight months of positive job growth, including a preliminary gain of 243,000 jobs in Jan. 2012. How can adding jobs be worse? The GDP has gone from -6.7% in the first quarter of 2009 and -0.7% in the second quarter of '09, to positive territory ever since -- including 2.8% the past quarter. How is that worse? I know everyone loves to hate President Obama, but keep in mind that he inherited a job where the former President, George W. Bush, lost 4.4 million jobs his last YEAR in office. Quote some accurate, real numbers before you go spouting off at the mouth next time. |

The Congressional Budget Office hardly a partisan outfit and quoted by both parties last week said unemployment was over 11% not the 8.2% reported by the obama ran BLS.
How do you lose over 2 million jobs from December 1, 2011 to January 1, 2012 and gain 243,000 jobs? You can't unless you are cooking the books. The U6 unemployment rate is over 16%. The GDP is anemic, and has been his entire presidency. When he took office: Gas was $1.83 a gal. Now $3.68 and rising expected to be $4 a gallon by summer. Fed Debt $10 trillion. Now $16 trillion and rising with no end in sight. Food Stamp Recipients: Then 32 million, Now 45 million. In Poverty: then 39 million, now 46 million Health insurance premiums his signature issue: Up 23% even though he promised they would go down if we passed obamacare. Misery Index: then 7.8%, now 12.9%. And these are just a few of his accomplishments. Blaming Bush is as thread bare at this point as it gets. The dog ate my homework line ain't working anymore. He's had time and done nothing but take vacations, play golf, and attack business, big and small. |

**FACT-REAL NUMBER-$3.49 A GALLON** Nearly twice what it was three years ago. Bush was blamed by the left, for high gas prices during his era? This is how Americans look at inflation. It is always blamed on the sitting president. Gas was about $1.86 a gallon when Obama took office. Who is to blame for high prices? The people will no longer buy the "blame it on Bush" doctrine. http://www.aim.org/on-target-blog/cnn-2008-hi ... **FACT-REAL NUMBER**$500 MILLION, could have been better spent, than just flushing it down a "green" toilet? What have we learned? That even after a $500 million "investment" into "green energy", China can still do it better and cheaper with help from EVERY Administration that will not cut the credit cards up and let the nation live within it's means. http://news.cnet.com/8301-11128_3-20102063-54... **FACT-REAL NUMBERS**$4.9 TRILLION in EIGHT years. The amount added to the National Debt during the eight years Bush was president. **FACT-REAL NUMBERS**$4.7 TRILLION, the amount added to the National Debt in just THREE years by Obama. Can we really afford five more years of this? http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/NPGateway **FACT** Illegal immigrants are NOT the cause of the problems and woes in this country, but it's the 540+ legal immigrants*, that occupy the Capital Buildings in Washington D.C.? They are called democratic and republican politicians. It's all a game, and the players are the few with power. *(meaning that we are all immigrants, some have been here longer than others,*excluding the American Indians and the Southwestern Hispanics who have always been here) **Fact-REAL NUMBERS** 100%, the amount of increase when something doubles in price. In the last three years, milk, bacon, coffee, eggs, bread, butter, beef, and gas, has doubled in price. Inflation is the problem when our currancy is worth less than it's face value. You are right, the numbers don't lie. |

**FACT-REAL NUMBERS** THREE MILLION - The number of unemployed people that were just dropped from the roles in Jan 2012, making the new lower unemployment rate rigged to make them look as though it actually went down. FALSE!

I suppose you know that a goodly percentage of the January increase in jobs was for holiday jobs. Also, a word about economy. No matter what happens with the "numbers" Social Security and Military retirement pay stays the same. Yes, this year there was a "huge" 3.6 percent increase - BUT - the amount of taxes, etc. deducted were increased, cost of insurance was increased, etc. My husband's military retirement check was actually smaller. But, guess what - the cost of everything we buy has GONE UP!!! |
I think you are the one who needs to get some facts before posting. The job numbers the Democrats put out there is only based on fewer people signing up for unemployment. That don't mean that they created NEW jobs only that they did not factor in those who have gotten off the employment list and gone to welfare or social security. The jobless rate actually went up. Another lie by Obama and his gang to try and get four more years to finish off the country. They have it down for the count now. |

Mit and Newt equals Dumb and Dumber you've already lost!!! bwah bwahhhhh |

And obama is the answer?
You can shrink the unemployment numbers when the actual number of jobs disappear and are no longer counted. You can also shrink the number when you stop counting the people who are out of unemployment benefits and who have quit looking for work--yeah that number will go down, but where are the jobs? So exactly how is obama going to run on his record when his record is horrible? Is it going to be obama care that 70% of the people despise? Go for it. As for Mitt Romney, he at best is a moderate, he's no conservative, and tends to run to the liberal corner. Newt talks the conservative game but at times is given to liberal loonieness such as his global warming commercial with Pelosi pitching the lie/con job of global warming. So we have our choices: Newt conservative about 80% of the time. Mitt moderate to liberal 90% of the time. Obama full blown socialist/marxist 100% of the time. And this is the best we are offered by the two parties... |

Cranky, I am afraid you are right. I was looking at Santorum, until I did research and found that he is known as the "King of Earmarks." That and he wants to drastically cut our defense funding.
So, it is back to wishing for a surprise perfect Republican to materialize out of thin air.:-) If all else fails, I would take Gingrich over Romney. Romney keeps saying all the things Gingrich did wrong (i.e. together with Democrats) while he was Speaker. Well, Romney was never Speaker, so how do we know how he would act as such. At least we have these forums to "think outloud." |
You see things the way I see them. I did research on Rick also. He is just as big a crook as the rest, although he does some good talking. I think I would even be willing to have him over Rommey. I would rather had Newt but he is a sinking ship at this time and I do not believe he will have a come back. I think Romney is another Obama. |

around here, if coal isnt booming...and operators and miners are laid off might as well not expect no kind of money to cirulate...the idea of putting a power plant on mountain drive is a great idea...open up the possibilitys of other higher paying jobs...another thing would be legalize the sale of alchohol, alot of people are against it but, people of bell county who drink are gonna drink and alot of people do drink. So that means alot of our money go to tn and va and never comes back

All politicians are crooks!

Thanks. I agree. I think Mr. Gingrich is the best of the lot mostly because he knows how to get things done in D.C. He also has worked with presidents (and congresspersons) of both parties - a fact that Romney's superpac uses as negative ad material, but I think is a necessity. I also choose to believe that a person can change. Mr. Gingrich is now a grandfather and hopefully has finally "grown up." |
