actually a lot of the Bush presidency was better economically. It got bad towards the end but it also got bad towards the end of Clintons as well. Economies go up and down but it seems like all of Obama's term has been on the down side. He had his chance and he didn't come through. Time for a change.

Few people realize that the financial stability Clinton enjoyed was a result of Reagonomics fully kicking in. Although Clinton did institute some welfare reform, which is always good.

But he allowed the lifting of the regulations on lending institutes. which Bush I and II tried to reinstate.

Other than that he let a nightclub overseas frequented by our military, our embassy and the Cole be attacked and did not raise a finger.

Still, he was not the diaster that Obama has been and his ego is not as large.

Then in 2003 Bush invaded IRAQ and started another WAR, of which once more Bush borrowed money from the CHINESE to pay that war as it to was not figured into the budget and paid for. All the afore mentioned itenms were not paid for-- but kept out of the busgets each of those years and carried ver as a deficit. of which OBAMA inherited. But BUSH just kept on borowing money to pay for thsoe 2 wars, 2 tax cuts which caused an even bigger deficit that our children will inherit. Did you folks know that to keep a soldier in the field in a war cost over i million dollars per soldier. WE built Mrs Bush the childrens hospital in Irag she wanted buildso badly--remember her on TV talking about the hospital the iraqi kids needed so bad. Well today that hospital stands empty, no electricity, no water, no equipment just an empty shelll of a building with a one man guard shack and 1 guard. What did we accomplish in Iraq, absolutely nothing. But we did accumulate a lot of debt in deficit spending on chines borrowed money. Several trillion dollars in deficit spending is what we got from BUSH on borrowed money. And troops who came home never to recover from either war, slow to get benefits.

And what did we get from Obama, Obama iherited a job loss and a broken economy from Bush in January of 2009 and losing 800,000 jobs permonth. Obama had cut the jobs loss down to about 400,000 per month by june of 2009by by creating several hundred thousand jobs duirng that period of time. And by DECember of 2009 the jobs created under OBAMA had cut the jobs loss to under 100,000 in DEcember. Now that shows the economy was improving in the jobs market. And by march of 2010 Obama was in the plus side of employeement and employeement has continued to be improve or some of you folks would have no jobs and be cut off the unemployeement checks as the Republicans cut over 200,000 off eunemployeement benefits as they would not extend thsoae benefits beynd june 1 of 2012. So you folks can thank the GOP for losing your benefits when you draw that last unemployeement check. But But even though it has been a slwo go on employeement it has improved in putting people back to work. Under Obama more jobs has been created than under Bush. Elect Romney and you get BUSH 3 in the white house. Then once agin the rich will have their taxes cut even below the 15 percent they are paying now. It will be the peoples choice . Then you will see even more jobs lost once agin.

I recently did a 1040 for a 23 year old single mother with one child, food stamps, energy assistance, housing assistance, free day care, free medical for her and her daughter.

She made $10,739.$1,010. was her Federal tax was withheld. The check she received from our government?$5,104.00. Her federal tax rate was 38.12% PLUS. Then the state gave her $1,335.00. on withholdings of $561. A PROFIT of $4,868.00 total.

That's one woman, one child. Multiply that by the millons receiving entitlements who are MAKING money through our income tax system, then come crying to me about the wealthy not paying their fair share.

Educate yourself how the tax system really works before you opine.

Entitlements, which Obama loves, ruined this country, the American family and untold lives.

I say, pull yourself up by your boot straps, do it for yourself and your family like our grandparents did and stop the nanny state before it is too late and we are Greece.

My, Pappy, you are on a tear. Done alot of reading, huh? Well, I actually live in the real world.

There is no sales tax in my state, but my reasoning is sales tax coffers have increased because prices on EVERYTHING have increased because gas is so high and every product in the country travels by truck at some point. People are actually buying less and it costs more. Hence, more sales tax collected on less items sold. I know this from my own personal grocery store trip every week.

As for SS and Medicare being broke, they would not be if not for two reasons. Every administration since it's creation has 'borrowed' from it for other programs. The majority entitlement programs.

Secondly, instead of being paid out only to retired folks who paid in all of thier working lives, we now pay to children and STEPchildren under the age of 18
whose parents have died, even if the death occured when the parent was committing a crime, and every child under age 18 begins receiving a payment when a living parent reaches age 65. Even if that parent is a millionaire.

Then we have the SS disability payments going out to people who have worked less than five years and claim back or neck injury, or my favorite, young people who are eligable because they are bi-polar. No matter that they are bi-polar from drug abuse.

Finally, if every worker paid 13.9% flat out tax on his or her earnings, including welfare payments,as we do on unemployment earnings, there would be no fiscal calamity as we are in now.

But as I pointed out in a previous post, 50% of Americans pay no tax, or actually have a PLUS tax rate and receive or are paid from the tax coffers of those of us who do pay income, property and other municipal taxes.

And I can give you names and SS numbers for every case I have mentioned in the above paragraphs.

I'm not democrat or republican. But I do vote independently and live independently and think and ponder independently. I don't have to go to any news program or web site to see what is clearly in front of me. You cannot believe anything you read, nothing that you hear and only half of what you see anyway.

You think Obama is the answer, re-elect him. By 2016 national debt will be 25 trillion, you'll be speaking Chinese and applying for a federal license to plant a tree.

And today 20 million federal dollars are being spent to create advertising to explain Obama care which will most likely be overturned in June. Because in Pelosi's famous words "We have to pass it to see what is in it." Just what the forefathers had in mind, I'm sure.

The last month Bush was in office the unemployeement cost 800,000 jobs Showing that people had confidence in OBAMA to create jobs. But as far as jobs go the one that went offshore will never come back. But we have to build on what foundation we have left in our own country. The fact is if china cut us off to the clothing marted WalMs=art would be out of business as they are selling products of chinese origin. And that leaves us running around naked. So we have to produce what we need in our country and quit subsidizing thsoe corporations that offshore their companies and jobs to other countries and then it would make it less profitable to offshore jobs and factories.
