I worked in madisonville for ten years and in the last two my income steadily went down until it got to the point that I couldn't afford the gas to drive down there anymore and had to quit.

We was already on debt! And it takes te for things to recover, and it also takes money to male money and everyone should know that. And don't just look at fon news they will only give you negative things about him. Yes he has f up on some things, but what do you think will happen If one of these rich folks get in there, who are they gonna look out for?

"We was already on debt!"

Yes we "was" already in debt, we have been under both republican and democrat presidents. But under Obama our national debt went from 10.6 trillion to 15.2 trillion. That's an increase of 43%, the largest increase since world war two. During Obama’s presidency to date, the national debt has risen by an average of $1.723 trillion a year —or by a jaw-dropping $1.116 trillion more, per year, than it rose even under Bush.

"and it also takes money to male money"

It does take time to male (make) money but only a fool continues to spend recklessly while running up our debt to historic levels.

"And don't just look at fon news they will only give you negative things about him."

Not true. I don't watch the opinion shows like O'Riley and Hannity but I do watch the Fox Report which is strictly news and it reports both the good and bad. Fox haters always hold up the opinion shows as examples and never the true news programs. Btw, I also watch CNN and MSNBC but only the news programs.

"Yes he has f up on some things"

Some huge things like health care and the economy. And yes the economy was bad before but its his job to make it better and he hasn't.

"what do you think will happen If one of these rich folks get in there"

Since rich people know how the economy works and how to make money and create jobs I expect that they will do a much better job at improving the economy than a community organizer. What's wrong with being rich anyway, do you prefer being poor?

There is nothing wrong with being rich, but we all know that rich look out for the rich. Who says that all that are wealthy know how to create jobs that help out others and not just hiring for what makes them money. And since your giving out stats how much of that debt was spent on the wars that we were in? And of the auto industry wasn't helped out how Many more people would be our of a job? All of the politics lie,I just know he can't turn us around in a short amount of time. And mitt has already said he spray care about poor people,I make around 70 a year and in this day and time I would consider myself among those he doesn't care about

"we all know that rich look out for the rich"

That is an assumption and an opinion, not a fact. That's like saying all white people can't dance or all computer engineers are geeks. Im sure that is true about some but not all. Your generalizing.

"Who says that all that are wealthy know how to create jobs that help out others and not just hiring for what makes them money."

Im sure that they do want to make money, we all do. A few examples of rich people that created wealth and jobs for others are Henry Ford, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. They worked hard to make money on their own instead of cashing a government check and then went on to start businesses that hired thousands of people and improve our economy greatly. Name me one community organizer that did the same.

"And since your giving out stats how much of that debt was spent on the wars that we were in?"

President Obama’s first defense budget, for fiscal year 2010, was $685.1 billion, if we include the “supplemental” funds for the Afghanistan and Iraq wars (a budget gimmick he had promised not to use.) This was 3 percent higher than in the previous year under Bush.

The Obama administration upped the ante again for FY 2011, requesting a base budget of $548.9 billion, plus $159.3 billion for Afghanistan and Iraq, for a total of $708.3 billion. That was before the bombing of Libya, which cost an additional $750 million. The president has requested “only”$670.9 billion for fiscal year 2012.

"And of the auto industry wasn't helped out how Many more people would be our of a job?"

Where in the constitution does it say that its the governments job to use our money to bail out failing businesses?

"All of the politics lie"

Some surely are (or do, depending on what you ment) but again your generalizing.

"I just know he can't turn us around in a short amount of time."

A presidential term is 4 years and he has been in office for three quarters of that term. Three years isn't a short time. But even if you do consider that a short time he has not turned things around, he has made things worse.

"And mitt has already said he spray care about poor people"

Its getting harder and harder to guess what your misspellings actually mean. What he actually said was thet he isn't worried about the poor because they have a safety net (meaning unemployment insurance, welfare, food stamps ect.). While he did chose his words poorly, you are paying attention to only the sound bite, not the entire statement and taking ut out of context.

We both have good points, but if we the people can't come together and help each other and stop with the all the B.S that we put on one another how can we think that those in Washington D.C. Will do it for us. The people run this country but we let the politics do it for us. It's like when 911 happend we were together and this country was great again, but since then we spit apart and are back to square one. Lets each try and do our part to help America be what it once was!

"We both have good points"

Actually I had good points backed up by facts. Your simply posted a combination of your opinion and false statements.

"but if we the people can't come together"

Your more than welcome to join the side of logic and reason and leave propaganda behind. Listen to the facts, not the sound bites.

"And help each other and stop with the all the B.S that we put on one another"

Your changing the subject which is Obama and the economy. While holding hands and singing kumbaya may make you feel good it does nothing to help our countrys situation.

"The people run this country but we let the politics do it for us."

The people do not run this country. Our government is a representative republic. We elect "politicians" to be our voice in government. If those politicians do not do a good job then we vote them out of office. Obama has not done a good job.

"It's like when 911 happend ..."

Again, your changing the subject which is a commonly used tactic when one is losing an argument.

"Lets each try and do our part to help America be what it once was!"

(More kumbaya)
Please do your part and educate yourself as to obamas actual proformance and stop blindly supporting some one who has clearly not done a good job.

"An expert doesn't so much argue the various sides of an issue as plant his flag firmly on one side. That's because an expert whose argument reeks of restraint or nuance often doesn't get much attention. An expert must be bold if he hopes to alchemize his homespun theory into conventional wisdom."<------Anon, defined

The next sentence in that Steven Levitt quote is:

"... His best chance of doing so is to engage the publics emotions, for emotion is the enemy of rational argument."

While I am definitely no expert it is a good quote.

Obama has tried and continues to kill the coal industry through the EPA and regulations since Obama could not get cap and trade through Senate. The money from coal that flows down to banks, insurance, restaurants, car dealerships, etc is huge in KY, and vital to towns like Madisonville. Without coal right now, Madisonville would look like Dawson Springs. Obama lost KY by a wide margin in 08 election and he ran with no politican record other than a good speech on Hope and Change. Thus, with his current agenda and record, Obama will not set foot in KY for no matter how much money he spends on this state - Obama will never win. I repeat Obama cannot win KY, he would have a better chance of winning Texas.

The US ahs slowing become a country not about the land of the free, but land of where is my govt check. With over 40 million on welfare, almost half the population on a govt check (this includes social security)- the people working are soon going to say enough and I want a job at the State, the City or a Fed Govt job. Conversely, say I fried my brain on meth and now need govt disability. Socialism does not work. At an alarming rate the rich are already starting to move to Canada, and other countries from the US. None the less, if the govt took all the money from the Forbes list today every cent they had or the top 1%- it would not come close to trimming a 15 trillion dollar debt. US has to cut defense and social services. Otherwise, the USA will soon be the next Greece, Spain etc - you all see where socialism got these countries. Only country with Stability in Europe are the Germans who have work ethic, are not lazy, and are conservative (not liberal socialist like Greece). Look at the history just in the last few years with Europe.
US will soon fall due to the debt and our kids will not have the same standard of living as we did. Times will be changing - politicians cannot kick the can (debt) much further. However, the rich will begin to shift money away from the US due to debt rating if rating gets worse, stock market will fall and only then will politicians see the writing.
