Successful bailout of the auto industry, saving tens of thousands of jobs, Policies that slowed the economic down turn that started under Bush and Co., and now has the economy moving in a positive direction. Unemployment is currently down to 8.3 percent and falling. I'd say he is doing a pretty good job. It takes time to clean up the train wreck that was Bush and Co.

Lost touch with reality? No I don't think so. I hate to break it to you but Obama is going to be re-elected. What have the Republicans done since he took office? They have failed to propose any credible alternative plans to his, and steadfastly blocked everything he has tried to accomplish for America, in the name of political captial. The Republicans not only lack a plan for recovery, but they are more concerned with "winning" the next election than they are with helping America recover.

A lot of middle of the road and undecided people have observed this behavior, and that, coupled with the fact that they just don't have anyone with a better quality than the fact that he is "not Obama," is going to hand Obama the election again.

I would rather have someone in the white house who is working for the poor and middle class vs. someone who is so outrageously wealthy that they aren't in touch with the average American, and who will only look out for big business at the expense of everyone else.

Unless you happen to be a millionaire or billionaire, than YOU are the one who is out of touch with reality.

No I don't think Obama has made the economy worse it was already a HUGE MESS
when he took over.and it will take time to straighten it out, it won't happen over night. But I do believe he is trying to help our country. He cares about the working man & the
poor people. And I think that congress should back him & work with him not against him. It's not only up to him. I hope he can get things done & I will be voting for him again & I hope that the poor people will go out & vote for him too.

Much like Republican politicians... you have nothing but empty talking points and insults.

You could have rebutted my arguments and said why you thing the auto bailout was a mistake, or give your own alternative opinion of why the unemployment rate is starting to drop.

However, you are too lazy to "think" or read anything other than FOX News or listen to talk radio and form any educated opinions for yourself. That leaves you with falling back to a one liner and an insult.

It is just that kind of lack of substance in the face of an improving economy that is going to result in the Republicans failing at election time, and President Obama being elected for a second term.

Bob, I would say "thank you" for the offer of prayer to guide me towards ideas that are rational and productive, prayers are always welcome when they are genuinely offered, except that in your case they aren't genuine.

You illustrate another point... Republican conservative’s use of God as a "tool" for their agenda, not a real religious commitment.

Your offer of prayer was not meant in any genuine way, but instead as a kind insult that you threw my way in place of actually thinking of response that would serve as a rebuttal to the points I made in my earlier posting.

Congratulations on mocking Christianity in an effort to "score a point" off me in a debate that shouldn't have to devolve into insults to begin with.

Are we not all rational adults who can discuss an idea, and offer counter arguments, if we don't like those presented, instead of just devolving into juvenile bickering?

I didn't need to rebut anything, your posts kind of rebut themselves. People already know the facts. We live the facts every damn day. BTW, you're the tool here.

There has never been a politician in history that gave a rat's ass about the the poor or working people.

It doesn't matter who you vote for because they are not going to have your best interest at heart. Politicians are in it for themselves.

Problems only get solved from the bottom up and not the top down. When the American people have had enough of this crap we will start to find solutions to our problems but these solutions will not come from Wall Street or their employees the politicians.

So, he wants to regulate companies and tell them how to run things, or he wants to tell individual people how to run their lives... which is it?

Name one way that President Obama has tried to tell you how to "run your life."

Also, regulation of companies isn't bad, it's very good... to an extent of course.

Ask the families of the dead miners in the Upper Big Branch Coal Mine if they think there should have been more, or less, government regulation?

How about allt he people that were affected by the unregulated practices of Fannie mae and Freddie mac? Do you think FM&FM should have had LESS regulation, or more?

The idea that somehow "over regulation" is slowing down companies is a smoke screen miss-direction perpetrated by the Republicans. I am sure they would love having less or even know regulation over corporations and businesses.

How would you like to find out you have to work 10-12 hour days, 7 days a week, or lose your job? How would you like to find out your children are making minimum wage doing hazardous labor in unsafe conditions? Would you like that? If so, then back the anti-regulation of companies people every time and you may eventually see that someday if that is what you want.

Talking with you is like trying to have a rational discussion with a child, except that a child isn't willfully ignorant.

No though, by all means, go on believing that you don't have to bow before stupid things, like facts... information... heck even reality itself. It's that kind of self-delusional, uneducated, myopic thinking that FOX News/Talk Radio/Glenn Beck/Republicans count on to keep you buying in to their "brand."

Critical thinking based on facts is a dying skill in this country sadly. Most people would rather be spoon fed propaganda from either MSNBC, or on the other end FOX News, rather than actually string a coherent thought together for themselves.

I don't know. Maybe it was because you posted public comments in a public discussion forum?

That is the whole purpose of a forum after all...

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aquarius

You won't like it if you feel your wings are being clipped today. You want to do something in particular, only to discover that someone is objecting to your plans or that circumstances beyond your control are standing in your way. Although your instincts tell you to throw a tantrum to get your point across, you must ask yourself what this will achieve, and whether it will actually be self-defeating.
