Umm...Yeah...My husband has been forced to work 2 jobs to maintain the same lifestyle we have had for many years, because utilities, food, and everything else have all doubled and tripled in the last 3 years...He never had to work 2 jobs until last year, we had always lived pretty well with one income...I can't call this an improvement...
I guess the welfare people are doing pretty well though...They have been given 4 increases in foodstamps and other 'benefits' since the Democrats took over...They eat much better than we can afford to.

UM, OBAMA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH UTILTIES, FOOD AND "EVERYTHING ELSE". THE PRICES RISE BECAUSE MANY THINGS ARE NOT GOVERNMENT REGULATED. COMPANIES SET THEIR OWN PRICES WITHOUT OVERSIGHT BY ANYONE. What did Liberals do that was so offensive to the Republican Party? I'll tell you what they did. Liberals got women the right to vote. Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and hence lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Liberals ended racial segregation. Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act. Liberals passed the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Medicaire. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act. Liberals passed the Clean Water Act. And what did CONSERVATIVES do? They OPPOSED Liberals on EVERY ONE of those things, EVERY ONE. So when you try to hurl that label at my feet,'Liberal', as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, IT WON'T WORK.

Is this really a serious question?-almost 9% unemployment -more repossesed and abandoned homes than any other time in US history -doubled the national debt in 3 years -if you account for the people who drop off unemployment figures because they can only draw for two years, unemployment is over 12%-SOCIALISM DOESNT WORK!!! WAKE UP!!!

We all know that the unemployment rate has been steadily dropping, largely due to hiring, not dropping off the unemployment checks. For all the whining, the Bush tax cuts are still in place. Let's be fair. Bush put us in a huge deficit and the deficit build exponentially just because of interest. That can't be pinned on Obama.
Perhaps if there were more regulations, the banks wouldn't have put us in this housing debaucle. We also know that Obama hasn't accomplished much,due to the fact that the republicans block him in every instance.
Note the GOP primaries right now.... Their goal isn't to better the country, it's to beat Obama. And they all say that openly.
There's something seriously wrong with that picture. This country is in too much of a precarious position to be playing political football. WAKE UP!!!!

I started working when I was 15...I worked steadily for several years, until I was 4 months pregnant with my first child...We have 3 children, now...Unlike liberals, we do not believe that "it takes a village" to raise children...We believe that it's the parents' responsibility to raise the children that they created (which includes FEEDING them, that sounds crazy to you guys, right?)...So, instead of pushing them off on someone else, I stay home with them...When the youngest is old enough to get a job, I will go back to work, too.

You have proven that public school has failed you, but Google is still available... Try it....While you're there, see how many people have been "lifted out of poverty" with government programs...You will find that you are wrong about that as well...People have to lift themselves out of poverty, the government (taxpayers' money) can't do it, and it isn't supposed to... Social Security is money that is taken from your check (that would be a 'PAYcheck', you get those when you work...at a job)...That money could have been invested by the person who earned it, instead of being confiscated by the government to be distributed at a much lower rate of return.

Only the elderly and disabled who CANNOT work should need 'help'... We have always found some sort of work to do, even if we didn't like it...We HAD to work because we have bills to pay, and we are sickened by the idea of able-bodied adults forcing other able-bodied adults to feed them and their children.

Even Canada understands more about this situation than you do...But, of course, their education system now outranks ours, AND it costs them much less.

"Beating Obama" is what will help things to improve...I'm not surprised that you don't understand this.

Reid isn't a Republican, he refuses to bring proposals to the Senate floor...Republicans were unable to even ATTEMPT to "block" anything for Obama's first 2 years, Democrats had the majority for Bush's last 2 years, and Obama's first 2 years...What happened to our economy during that time?

You just go ahead and blame the banks, while I watch this news clip of a bus driver who says she is losing her $300,000 house..."I knew I couldn't afford it, but the bank made it so easy"...If she had stopped with "I knew I couldn't afford it", she wouldn't be losing her house...She would have bought a house she COULD afford, like we did (ours will be paid off in 3 years, we are in no danger of losing it)...Also, read about Barney Frank's involvement...If the banks denied loans to people who couldn't afford it, they were threatened with discrimination litigation...Government involvement CAUSED the problem, it definitely isn't the solution...How much longer can people expect, "I didn't read what I signed" to be a legitimate excuse to absolve you of responsibility for the foolish and detrimental decisions that they make?
