Obviously he's made it better, since we're no longer in recession, the housing market's bottomed out, the Market's doing very well, and unemployment continues to drop. But don't take my word alone for it:

Wow! a story on the economy from kos? Does it come also with a Soros funded pamphlet on fisting? And one for public defecation? Or maybe a registration form to become an occupy-approved sex offender. What is the Labor Participation Rate? You leftist scumbag. |

Do any of your posts come with a refutation, intelligent comments, or un-obsessed with sexual perversion? Somehow I doubt it. Get back to me when you have something to say, trollish right wing coward. |

Neo -cons... Explain how a man is handed the keys to a 3000sq ft. House that's on fire, given a water gun, and ask him to put the fire out, but get angry if it's not out in 2minutes? I didn't agree with the wall street bailouts, having said that, 75% of his policies are a continuation of G.W.'s, a fact! Taxes for the highest incomes are still the same as Bushes, Capital gains taxes still lower.... Romney 13% on 21mil, I have to pay 15% on my gross which is under 50k, and you guys think Corporations are gonna "INVEST" here, when they can hire cheap labor and get more work for less? I am an INDEPENDANT VOTER, and want my f#@%+$& tax bracket at 8% or lower, so that I can Invest more in my household! Those top 1% guys are not going to LOWER YOUR TAXES! You don't earn enough to be in their sights. WAKE UP USE YOUR HEAD, NOT YOUR BIAS

Would any of your right-wing self serving conservative trolls believe in a leading economist from Moody's Analytics?? Here's some Macro Outlook from Mark Zandy, one of the leading economists in the country on the 2012 Macro Outlook:
U.S. economic output and hiring growth improved as 2011 came to an end. A better performance in 2012 hangs on decisions by U.S. and European policymakers. The unemployment rate fell in 2011 in part because of a stagnant U.S. labor force. Full employment, defined as a jobless rate of 6% or better, won't return before 2015. Federal fiscal policy will be a drag on the economy through 2013, even if Congress extends tax cuts and jobless benefits. The U.S. economy showed some strength as 2011 ended. Real GDP likely grew faster than 3% annualized in the fourth quarter, driven by solid holiday and vehicle sales, sturdy business investment and even some improvement in construction. The labor market has also brightened, with job gains accelerating to about 200,000 per month. This was enough to bring the jobless rate to a nearly three-year low of 8.5%. U.S. Macro Outlook: A Tentatively Better Year http://www.economy.com/dismal/article_free.as... ========== There are signs of improvement here, but will you ever give Obama credit? Will you ever consider that it takes more than three years to correct 8 years of WRONG? Will you believe in anything else other than your main FAUX news source? I think not. Conservatives ALWAYS ALWAYS lose out to progress in the country (see Civil Rights, see Roe v. Wade, see Great Deal) and the saddest part of it all is that you continually keep the rest of the country from progressing as well. But that is slowly changing too. |

The bottom began to drop out after the election of the full dem congress, and then hit hard with the election of obama. Businesses saw high taxes coming along with other fees and began to stop hiring. Many, many small businesses laid off workers after the minimum wage hike. Bush had nothing to do with it, except he didn't veto enough of pelosi's damage! Bush warned 7 times of the coming housing crunch, and all his attempts to regulate fannie/freddie were blocked by dodd and fwank! |
Bwah bwah bwah. Crybaby. Bwah, I'm gonna call my mommy because the labor participation rate data undermines my spurious point, and the guy who pointed it out hurt my feelings. bwah I'm a crybaby bwah just like obama bwahhhh. "tha Professor" ???? of what... crying? |

Nothing to do with it!?!?!? Really !?!?!? you don't think a 3 TRILLION unpaid war had anything to do with the present economic crisis??? your blue-bonnet is probably pulled a little too tight....better loosen that up....there's a reason that no conservatives are using Bush as an example of right-wing success... |

BREAKING NEWS: Jobless benefit claims drop to 358,000, second-lowest level in nearly 4 years
Even Fox News is reporting the good news: The number of people seeking unemployment aid neared a four-year low last week, an encouraging sign that strong hiring could continue in the coming months. The Labor Department said Thursday that weekly applications for unemployment benefits fell 15,000 to a seasonally adjusted 358,000. That's the second-lowest level since April 2008. The four-week average, a less volatile measure, fell to 366,250, the lowest since late April 2008. When applications fall consistently below 375,000, it usually signals that hiring is strong enough to lower the unemployment rate. |

There is an article out today which details the massive waste for defense contractors ongoing today. Bush hasn't been president for 3 years. |

I saw that. I also know a number of folks who got laid off this past month (not all in Ohio). It's hard to take media numbers when you look around and it does not compute. I saw an article - not sure I could find it again - that showed that layoffs were up 31% from 2010. So are we really gaining anything, or just shuffling people into lesser-paying jobs for the purpose of being employed? And what would the long-term effects of that be? |
