If Congress would let the Bush tax cuts expire then more revenue would be available to stimulate the economy.Yet under Bush Capitalism was so corrupt that it took a toll on the world economy.Remember the President don`t control the funds,Congress does that and they happen to be under republican control and refuse to let a temporary tax cut for 1% of the population expire.Even with Congress voting against anything OBama introduces unless the very wealthy get even more breaks,OBama has done a tremendous job as President now with 23 consecutive months of economic growth.The republicans hate it when OBama has any success but he will have an impressive resume come November.

Revenues don't go up when taxes go up or expire. Those 1% will just find a new way to hide their money. Always have, always will no matter how you try to close loopholes. That's just reality. The best way to increase revenue is by getting people back to work. You say that correctly that the "President doesn't control funds," So, for the four years that congress was held by the democrats, spending tripled and our deficit grew to $15 Trillion and unemployment went from 4% to 10% and the year since republicans took control of congress, spending has dropped and so has unemployment. Simply because they've tried to say "NO" to the presidents wasteful spending and payoffs to his rich billionaire donors.

Well question is 'Did President Obama made the economy better or worse" I vote BETTER but this question should not even been POLL - It's our local government itself made the economy worse. The Republican made the economy worse and will remain the same because of their way of thinking. Always has been for the RICH

He will go down as the worst President of our time. He talked a big game and hasn't backed it up. Democrats made the economy worse because they want to take from working people and give to the uneducated, drug abusing baby factories that are destroying the country

Look around at the closed businesses, empty, run down, collapsing houses, foreclosures, 90%higher fuel costs, higher food costs, local job market cut.

Next time you go to the post office, notice all of the super obese, "handicapped" people going in to get their "free checks".

That is what is wrong with this country. Scammers and abusers of the system sapping all the money from the working class. Never contributing to scoiety, just taking and taking.

He promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. Instead, he added $6 Trillion to it. It would have been more but republicans were able to curb some of his spending. Since democrats took over in 2006, the only things that have gone up in this country is unemployment at the debt.

Look at the numbers....jobs creation, gas prices, the affordable healthcare act, etc.....need i say more?

If you are not one of the 1% every move they make are going to hurt you. What are yall eating or drinking use common sense they have always used the weak minded to get where they are and to try to stay there. Now Obama is trying to even the playing field. 21 new taxes under Obama care plus Bush tax cuts expire in Jan. Im sure you are going to get your tax increase, only it won't be the 1% it will be me and you. The government will then take that money and send it overseas and give it to the very poor in this country.

Plus losing all the green job money. Solyndra[spelling?] ring a bell..? Who made money on that deal? Not the taxpayers.
Obama care= joke on all people that are not politicians.. Your politicians will not be under the same halthcare program as the rest of the American people. Topnotch care for them and they will go out of office much richer than when they took office.
Medicaid is totally out of control.
After a short period most of the costs for medicaid falls on the backs of the State.

Common sense does not come from the Democratic party. Tax and spend and do anything for a vote.Obama is just a clueless black Jimmy Carter with no understanding of society. His clueless wife thinks she's a star.Thomas Jefferson would be sick.Hope Bill Clinton has his way to get Obama out of office. Too Many leaks from the white house makes no country in the world want trust us now.

I will never vote, heres why. Politicians in general are corrupt and greedy, they get in office and see only $ signs. Democrats and Republicans both. People need to vote for who is best for the country instead of being single minded and voting strictly Republican or Democrat. For now our government is so far in dept it'll take decades before it's stable again. It never will unless we get people in political offices that care about the people and our well being. Today every one is so used to the status quo which is surviving on welfare or struggling while being taxed outrageous amounts. So get used to being miserable folks...

Obama and the Democratic Party have totally screwed up the economy. Obama needs to take a class in economics and a basic course in finance.
