Add 5.5 million unemployed for over 6 months and remember if you are off the unemployment rolls you are not counted so the number is probably a lot higher. In 2000 the unemployment rate was 4.0..in 2006 it was 4.3 and now they claim it is "only" 8.3.

We have been adding around 200k jobs a month since 2010, unemployment has dropped for the fifth month in a row, and the deficit has dropped slightly. Top economist are saying that things are looking up. Can't argue with facts, but I'm sure some of you will try. We definitely aren't out of the wood's yet, but I think we are well on our way.

Any body can see it's worse since Obummer got in.What little improvement there is has taken longer than if he had done nothing at all.

If memory serves me correctly, Bush couldn't wait to get out of office fast enough. I would have loved to see him stayed in office for 6 more months. No other president ever left office with the auto industry going down the tubes. I never heard anyone say Obama is broken, they say wash dc is broken. When they got Bin laden they praised the seals, but if they had failed we all know who would be catching hell, now don't we? If Bush was still in power we could have Bush reading to the children once again except it would now be in Chinese

First of all West Virginia was at the bottom of the socio economic ladder for many years before Pres. Obama took office. The decisions that have been made by west virginians and southern west virginians in particular have kept us in poverty for years. We had the work in the coal mines all along and still no growth. So please take all this into considaration before you blame the presedent. The housing problem didn't hurt us because we were always poor and there has been very little growth in the state. Youth have been graduatiing and leaving the state for years not just since Obama became Pres. The things that are being said on this page are for the most part rediculous and are being made by ilinformed bigotted fools who vote against their own interests because they don't know any better. All politics are local! What really affects this state is the lack of participation in the local elections. Eg... 11% turn out for mayoral and other elections... know what you're talking about before you show your stupidity! HOLLA!!!!!
thanks alot

You haven't seen anything yet if he wins the next election. He is going to hang an extreme left, which is what he really is and then he will let it all hang out. He is a Marxist at heart and knows he had to stay closeted to get where he is at today. Permanent transformation is at hand. There will be no going back. See you all on the other side.
