I strongly believe that marriage is between man and woman and that it's definition cannot be expanded to include antone else. It is a tradition that has served us well for thousands of years.

Traditional marriage must be preserved as it is. they are allready living together what difference does it make if they marry or shacks up. this is nothing but something political like abortion, it come up every 4 years. who cares let them marry & lets get back to the real issues about the shape the country is in & who will best serve us for the next 4 years

Who are we to judge and critize others? I am not gay but could care less one way or the otber what another persons sexual preference is. I have two friends who are and have been in a same sex (females) relationship for 10+ years. These 2 are the kindest most loving individuals I have ever met. They are funny but very loyal and devoted. One was married in the past so they have 2 loving, respectful children in their teens that they raise together. I love them and they are my friends. How can people judge that as wrong when they dont even know them. It may be strange to some people but to me tbey are wonderful. They love each other, have a healthy and thriving home life and the kikds are fine with it. How can you shun thiis? Who are we to allow hatred to consume us? Any comments? They ate better than so many heteral sexuals that are just toxic??? I support it. We are not to judge and hate abybody.

You must differentiate between placing one self on the judgement throne of God and discerning false teachers... it is a crucial distinction. STOP AND CONSIDER THE CHILDREN; It would allow homosexuals the right to adopt children. Since homosexuals cannot have children biologically, they have been pushing for the right to adopt. States have allowed non-married persons to adopt for sometime. Because of this, some homosexuals have been able to adopt by concealing that they are gay. many homosexual groups are also lobbying for legalized prostitution and the repeal of statutory rape and age of consent laws. This shows the extreme radical philosophy of the homosexual movement, not just to "protect civil rights" but to change society's sexual values. would you want to grow up in a homosexual atmosphere if you were a child? Having 2 men and no mother as parents?? Not me. Sure, there are a few supposed studies that prove raising children can be done by same sex partners; but there are also studies that supposedly prove evolution is a real science. Just consider the source and realize that the Associated Press has an agenda also. Consider the poor children who will get caught up in this mess.

First of all its their life. They will have to answer to god. Not you. And second of all bible also states that divorce is not an option so are y ou goin to make it illegal to get a divorce?? Why cant people just let them live their life. They are goin to find some way to "be married" why not give them the option to make it legal. I say go for it!!!!

This is exactly why religion is not taught in schools and separation of church and state is mandated. Each and every person has the right to live their life as they choose and if a same sex couple wants to marry they should be able to do that without condemnation from religious fanatics. I would much rather soend an evening with my two friends referred to above and be included in their lives than to be so closed minded and be shut out of tbeir lives because they happen to be two women. There is more love and devotion in that household than exists in many heterosexual homes. How can anyone judge them when they dont even know them. Their children are happy and very poplar in school and they have a stable and nurturing home life which is more than most children here have. How can you hate on that and feel good about it?

Am I the only one that sees this is just Obama trying to get votes??? He was against gay marriage in his first campaign. And now that he has screwed our country up and so many people are regretting they ever voted for him, hes thinking...well maybe if I approve gay marriage (since no other candidate will stoop to those levels) it will get me some more votes and I can sit my black a$$ in the white house for four more years...

Consider the poor children who will get caught up in this mess. It's a proven fact that no child has ever been corrupted because his or her parents are homosexuals. It's not our place to pass judgement on these people we can only pray for them and let the good Lord deal with them. He will watch out for the children involved just as he would if the children belonged to a straight family.

Yes you are apparently the only one that does see it like that. Obama INHERITED both of Bush's messes!!! He took a huge risk in airing his personal feelings on such controversial issues. I admire him for his honesty and his guts and integrity.
