I don't think un-natural families should be created.

IF THERE IS A COUPLE THAT ARE IN LOVE AND WANT TO BE MARRIED WHY NOT ? I HAVE SEVERAL GAY FRIENDS THAT HAVE BEEN MARRIED AND IT HAS MADE THEIR LIVES SO MUCH HAPPIER THAN BEFORE THEY WERE MARRIED: WHY DO MALE AND FEMALE MARRIAGE HAVE TO BE THE ONLY COUPLES TO GET MARRIED AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH ALL THE B.S. THAT GOES ON IN A MARRIAGE: LET THEM RAISE CHILDREN AND BUY A HOUSE AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS THAT US WHO HAVE MARRIED FOR MORE THAN 45 YEARS IN A MAN AND WOMEN MARRIAGE WHY SHOULD WE HAVE ALL THE FUN?

A) Love is not a requirement for marriage
B) Does this apply to siblings as well? Is it still reserved for a special class of people and equality really isn't equal?
C) why did they need the federal gov't to bless their relationship before they could be "much happier"?

People opposed to marriage equality are small minded bigots. The worst thing that happens if gay people get married is that some of them will get divorced.

This doesn't need an explanation. It's the right thing to do.

Gay marriage is the same as regular marriage, except homophobic's still have a say in it.

Then incestuous marriage is also the same as regular marriage except bigots still have a say in it, right?

The recognition of gay marriage also grants certain things. (For example) If your partner needs to be cleared to have life saving procedure and you weren't allowed to get married, then you could not make the decision in the event that your partner was incapable of making it. Calling it another thing is inadequate because it is just asking for loopholes to diminish the rights and privileges that come with a marriage license.

There is no need to debate the ignorant and the hateful. The issue is very simple. Same sex couples want to marry, and a bunch of bigots want to stop them from being recognized by their own government. These people openly admit that they want to bully the system and benefit from advantages while excluding another group from benefiting in the same way through the same act.

Its discrimination, and it stems from religious bigotry and in this country, the U.S., that is mainly Christianity. Listen well Christians of this country - Your control and influence in this nation is weakening. In the age of global communication and the proliferation of information, people are finally waking up. They know its all bullshit. Here is the lesson. If you continue to oppose homosexuality, then you will continue to lose more and more of your supporters. But don't worry. The chances are much greater that your children will be the first wave to fully accept homosexuality. So, rest with the knowledge that even if they don't tell you so, your children will pity you for your ignorant hateful thinking.

If marriage is a religious institution defined by biblical principles then the government has no authority to establish marriage as the only legally recognized civil union (Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion (1st Amendment)).

If the government is going to define marriage and thus the benefits thereof, such as tax rates, healthcare, survivor benefits, etc... then it cannot restrict those privileges or immunity of citizens of the United States (14th Amendment)).

So, the government is bound by the constitution to either:

1) Butt out of marriage entirely. Legally recognize the civil union of any two consenting adults and relegate marriage to a religious institution that individuals can enter into if they so choose. And religious groups, as is their freedom, can define marriage and restrict it to whomever they choose.

2) Lift the restrictions on marriage.

Wrong. It takes a simple piece of paper called a medical power of Attorney. Cheap (free if you know a notary) and easy.

Yeah if your in love than you should be able to marry I like the idea of destroying the marriage that has been held so high all these years cause if I cant reach the bar I'll have them lower it and I'll force feed my ethics on your children in your schools forget the fact I can't have children with my partner cause it's not the right combination I know it takes a man and a women but god was wrong when he created that plan you see I want to marry my blood sister I've known her all my life and I do love her but they say I can't so once we get the gays married I can marry my sis we are two adults and my parents don't like the idea but I'm glad to see I got the support of you guys by the way financially speaking its a win win situation for me and sis

If we start allowing gay marriages, then we should allow any marriages. I mean seriously, where does it end?? Gays say that they "love" their partner & want to get married (which is foolish cuz marriage sucks), but what if someone "loves" their goat? Or dog? Shouldn't they be able to get married??
Gays claim they want equal rights, but they don't. They want better-than-equal rights. They preach about being anti-gay is bigotry, well I say that them being anti-striaght is bigotry also! It's ok for them tho bash straights but if we bash gays..... uh-oh, time to have a gay rally!!

Getting the same right is not asking for special rights.

As for the animal marriage: If you can find an animal that can consent to marriage, you can marry that animal. However, I just don't see that happening. But on a serious note, the equal rights clause has never been extended outside the human race. Did giving women the right to vote lead to hamsters voting? Aren't they meant to remain quiet according to Christianity?

Why do you people wanna get married anyway? You know that just leads to divorce, cheating, fighting.... Just ask any "gay" person that's been married to the opposite sex. lol

"Why do you people want to be free anyway? You know that just leads to bills, work, debt.... Just ask any "darkie" that's been free before. lol"

You see what I did there? It's a matter of civil rights. You cannot award one group of people one right, and not another.
