I agree that it is morally wrong. Obama has lost my vote and I am a Democrat. I feel that is what is wrong with the world today- too much acceptance of things that are so morally wrong.

If straight people can have a choice to get married and be happy together, why can't gays? All for it!
How does it directly affect your life anyway? Smh.

Not going to affect me. Not going to effect most people you do not have to marry a gay which is what some people seem to think. I am more worried that Republicans are trying to kill social security and medicare. That is something important.
Also this week Republicans voted to double the student loan interest.

I feel as if you cant choose who you love and no one should be denied the right to show the world their love and compassion for each other. I also believe that everyone deserves to be treated to same no matter what your sexual orientation is.

Gay marriage is BS. It is really about the children.

The government is too large, they need to stay OUT of peoples personal lives. It is unfortunate that people are trying to take away OUR BASIC FREEDOMS. Isn't that part of the reason our ancestors left England?

YOUMADBRO, I get your point but if you think anyone has to "pay in the end" isn't that more fuel for the oppositions fire? The way I see it is like this. If you want to get married & it isn't myself that you want to marry then that must mean it's YOUR life, not mine. Do what you damn well please. Even if the ones against it think it's a sin, it's not THEIR sin. Personally, I don't believe that BS & think it's a control mechanism. I tell you it's wrong, you believe me, you do or don't do what I say, I scare the shit out of you by telling you you're going to hell, you change your mind & DO as I say and I win!

No. What is happening is very very wrong! It should not be allowed. That is just my opinion.

Simply stated, highly respected! Although I'm undecided I still respect Jimmy's post cause he's stating his opinion rather than being pushy about it. You sound like a level-headed guy. Thumbs up!!!
so be it

For the same reason I voted for a black president, every person in the United State no matter what race, religion or financial status should have the benefits and choices of everyone else. It truly is whats inside that matters about a person and if that means marrying someone of the same sex so be it
So be it

It really is what is inside a person that counts. Why should a gay couple be refused the right to have a marriage that is acknowledged by the government? This is the United States and I believe that every person should get the same rights no matter what race, sex, religion or financial status.

Obama should not side with special groups and enterfere with an ongoing shooting that has not been to trial. His words can make an impact on justice and make people feel bad towards others. STAY out of it.
