Totally against it. Marriage is "one man and one woman."

Bigotry is not a reason to deny equal rights to a group. YOUR god may not agree with it, but the Bible condones marriage between slaves and owners, rape victims and rapists, many wives and one man, etc.

Historically marriage was a contract between parents to sell their daughters to men. That argument about marriage being only between one man one woman thing is not true. The word marriage is only as old as the 14th century.

Here's a brief rundown of some traditions of marriage. http://www.livescience.com/6867-sex-marriage-...

No religion has authority over the limitation of definitions of words. Any religious or non-religious group may define marriage as they choose. Forcing other groups to define marriage by their religious beliefs is tyranny and against the 1st Amendment.

Except that it isn't. Siblings cannot marry, right?

Can you deny someone a civil right based solely on their genetics/lineage?

Marriage is a contract. If one of them dies, it allows all assets of the deceased to pass to the one left alive. It allows one to make decisions in the event of being unconscious in a hospital. Marriage being about romantic love is only a fairly recent thing. Let cousins enter into a contract of marriage with one another, but there could be laws against them breeding to prevent suffering of possible offspring due to defects.

Homosexuals do not have this problem.

A will does that and supersedes marriage inheritance rights.

A medical Power of Attorney allows this.

There could be birth defects in EVERY act of procreation. Heck, with older women, the rate of defects is about the same as in siblings.
So, do you really believe in marriage equality or are siblings and polygamists LESS equal

it's kinda sad and pathetic that it's legal to marry your cousin in many states that are outlawing same sex marriage

I'm really for marriage equality. Also, you managed to prove that no one needs marriage rights. Keep marriage on a personal basis. The government need not get involved. I can agree with that too. At least it's equal.

People don't own queers. Slavery has been outlawed sir. Pick up a newspaper.

Also, no one is forcing you to do anything, but for some reason you want to be involved in the lives of gay people.

The world is overpopulated. Homosexuality makes perfect sense. It's also natural. Over 1500 animal species regularly practice homosexuality. Even if it weren't natural, the computer you are using to type out your bigoted responses, is in no way found in nature. If you had sense, it might make sense to you.

2 men getting married to each other, in no way lessens my heterosexual marriage. I'm not threatened by what others do with their own lives. Why are you?

Which means that if you support gay marriage, you must also support incestuous marriages and polygamy.

21 states allow incestuous marriage.

Gay marriage is about two people who love each other who want it legally recognized. It going to be legal all over soon, you can't stop it.

Siblings can have sex in some blue states but cannot marry in any.

Marriage is not a requirement for marriage.

Sibling marriage is about two people who want the legally recognized benefits of marriage. If marriage is a right ,it going to be legal all over soon, you can't stop it.

Way to think about the big picture.

BTW, why do gays want/need to have their relationship recognized by by the gov't?

Other than the obvious there is the legal aspect.

Partners being able to make medical and legal decisions when the other can't.

What if a two men became a couple in college, they live in oklahoma so they can't marry. The are both now in their mid thirties, both have jobs. The house is in one partner's name. One day he is killed in an accident. His parents never approved of their releationship. Who gets the house?

All that requires is one easy piece of paper that they can get in every state called a medical Power of Attorney

Depends on what he put in his will--another easy piece of paper that everyone should have anyway that overrides and kinship inheritance rules.

So marriage does add anything they don't already have.
