You religious bigots disgust me. What does it matter to you if someone else chooses a different lifestyle than you? This isn't the dark ages people, this is 2012 for crying out loud.

I support the right of gays and lesbians to marry and enjoy all the same benefits that other married folks do. They also will have the right to enjoy the fruits of divorce. But I have a question? When a married gay couple divorces, who gets the kids, the house, and who pays child support and alimony ?(where applicable) Current law is slanted very heavily toward the female. How will they determine who the woman is?

Good gawd, old man! That the decisions of courts in the past were "slanted" does not mean the law is so written. Why must you always place yourself firmly- and blindly- on the side of predjudice? Only you could posit such an inane and ridiculous question seriously! Court awards of alimony, child support and custody are already reflecting the societal changes of the modern era; won't you come along into the 21st century with the rest of us, old fool?

Yes, we are, and will be until the generational change (bye-bye, Old Cynic!)effects a shift in attitudes away from the bigotry of the past... and I'm an aging boomer!

People are giving religious reasons for not backing it. America is based on separation of church and state. Love is love.

How is he being deceitful? He is clearly coming out with his views on the subject. Decades from now your grandchildren (should you manage to find someone to procreate with you) are going to live in a world where gay people get the rights they deserve and you will be the family bigot, who was too stuck in the past to realize that, as americans, these people should (and will) get the same rights as the rest of us.
Btw: us "losers" are winning the poll. Dick.

Every person, no matter their sexually orientation, should have the right to marry whomever they wish. The only possible rebuttal to this argument is either for religious reasons, which due to the separation of church and state, should not impact national laws, and simple bigotry.

And if our great representatives continue to "evolve", you will be able to marry whatever and as many as you wish. I have my eye on a great looking oak tree. My border collie is looking pretty good too. Think Obama care will cover the tree or the dog, if I'm able to marry either or perhaps both?

Whoa, now, old man, settle down there... broadening the marriage franchise does NOT imply the loosening of such strictures as engaging one at a time, or within the nsame species. That's a favorite consrevative tactic: when reason no longer serves your argument (which with the conservative is quite frequent), throw reason out the window with outrageous statements, including drawing in the unrelated, but hot button issue (Obamacare) to cloud the issue!

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Sagittarius

It's important to be discriminating about what you say and believe today. That's because communications are rather strange, with people saying or doing odd things and plenty of scope for crossed wires. Be very careful if you're attending to important details because for some reason your brain may switch off at the vital moment, leaving you prone to making mistakes or losing track of what you're doing. Try to double-check anything important tomorrow when your brain is back in gear.
