everyone should be happy and if that makes you happy go for it. it doesnt effet the relationships i have either way. as long as i am not getting hurt by it i dont see the big deal with it getting approved.

The only way a person can support gay marriage is if they refuse to believe what the Bible says about marriage. I believe it is morally wrong and God is not pleased with those who make this type of life style.

There is no good secular reasons for marriage to be limited to man/woman couples. Contrary to what many believe, tradition is not followed. Men would be allowed to have multiple wives that he could treat practically as property. To all of you mentioning the bible: Read the 1st amendment and the treaty of Tripoli. they clearly state that this country ill make no special provisions for any religion. If we truly want to be accepting of all religions, we have to allow them to marry who they wish, which can include same sex couples.

How about practicing what Jesus preached? The old testament, and it's laws and blood sacrifices for sins, were replaced with Jesus and his sacrifice. Thus the old testament was replaced with the New Testament.

I fully support people in making their own choices, and a conservative government that knows its place in staying out of personal matters.

Any religious concerns relating to individual or collective rights is not for our government to decide. If the dominant religion in the United States was a pagan religion, or an alien one, or any one that disagreed with your own natural inclinations and how you choose to express yourself, you would not support an oppressive government (or people) trying to force their religion/lifestyle on you. That's why we have religious freedom for ALL in this country.

If we enjoy and utilize new technology in our lives, and are not dogmatically sticking with technology from over 2000 years ago, then why not our ideas? As our technology evolves, so should our theology!!

How about you actually pick up your Bible and read it, Old Testament first. See if you agree with your heart and mind open with the killing and slaughter rampant in the old testament. The 12 tribes of Israel, in the name of God, did some terrible crimes not acceptable today, tomorrow, or yesterday. It was in actually reading the Old Testament that made me put down christian mythology, after being raised a southern baptist for a very long time.

What would Jesus do? Love and accept everybody.

Yes, it is hard to understand why gays are WANTING the gov't involved in their relationship.
