Marraige is a sacred vow between man and woman. Gays need to realize they are not normal and are a biproduct of subhuman desires. if being gay was normal none of us would exist in the first place.

Someone needs to wake up and open their eyes. Marriage is a "sacred vow" only about half the time nowadays. The whole concept of marriage is quickly becoming outdated. That being said, I believe if two same sex partners want to be miserable together for the rest of their lives then they should have that choice.

I also want to give you my sympathy. It must suck to hate sex so much. Maybe if you gave in to those subhuman desires and got laid you would chill out. Seeing as how homosexuals are the bi-product of heterosexual sex and all. I don't see no gay couples making gay babies. They all seem to be coming from a man and a woman getting together and popping out their "fabulous" asses.

But seriously for or against doesn't matter its a commitment. If two people want to commit to each other who is to say the can't. Doesn't matter if its genetic or choice.

Maybe the people you hate may be the only ones that could save you in your time of need. They may be a doctor or nurse or police officer a teacher a chef a friend or family member.

Who are you to tell them who or what they can and cannot love or do.

This troll is for it. If anyone tells a member of the gay community they can't you have every right to raise your middle finger and ask what ever happened to the seperation of Church and State.

It is impossible to have an intellectual debate on this subject. We are all equal. We have the right to pursue happiness. I'm not gay, but someone I love dearly is. And everybody knows and cares about someone who is gay. So if I can by my ex-wife a house, why shouldn't everyone!

I challenge anyone to give a reason gays should not be able to marry that is not related to religion, which has absolutely no place in American legislation as per the governing document, the Constitution and its Amendments. No one has been able to do so yet. Could the cesspool that is Topix finally supply that justification?

we have high poverty,unemployment,a decaying infrastructure,war in afghan.,jobs being shipped overseas,and thousands more really serious problems besetting our nation and this is what people worry about.gay marriage is no threat to anyone.so lets concentrate on doing what needs to be done to get our great country going full steam again.PS,why the need for foul,belittling language,we can all have divergent opinions without name calling.just because you hold a different view than i do,doesn't mean we can't discuss it and be civil while doing so'

DO you feel the same about siblings marrying? Everything you just said applies to them as well.

siblings carry the same genetic traits thereby increasing the chances for birth defects.but if they were incapable of having children i would not care.lifes too short to worry about what consenting adults want to do that causes no harm to anyone.

Then divorce should also be illegal.

heres another thing to consider legalized marriage for gays is not going to make people want to be gay.legalized drug use in countries that have done it has not resulted in more drug use.there's a temp. spike then things go back to normal.people are not going to do something because its legal.i don't smoke,sky dive,scuba dive,race cars,drink to excess or do a host of other things that are legal because i dont like these things.and i'm quite sure most people don't do a lot of things that are perfectly legal because they know what is and what is not their cup of tea.

SO? Older women are also more likely to have birth defects?

The vast majority of kids born to siblings do not have defects.

Even if they did, who are you to judge and decide who gets to have kids?

The very reason we're here today is bc of a man & a woman. They go together. Give me a man & another man who can procreate. Science alone proves this Anonymous. They're made to fit eachother perfectly. Women have a uterus, ovaries, etc & men have testicles which produce sperm. Sperm & egg equal LIFE. Not only with mankind, but also in the animal kingdom.
