Marriage is between a Man and a Woman. The whole purpose of marriage is to procreate. Without assistance, gays can not do that.

If God wanted Adam and Steve it would have been that in the beginning and not Adam and Eve! Love who you love, I guess, I am not to judge, but I certainly am happy with the fact that I know better and won't have to be facing that on judgement day!

Tired: The whole purpose of marriage is NOT to procreate. It is an institution that grants you rights.... the right to have your partner with you at the hospital when you are bearly hanging on; the right for your patner to be on your health insurance so that you both have the SAME right to "affordable" health care; the right to KNOW that if you were to die, your partner would be able to claim what's BOTH of yours- from the house, the car, the dog, the life insurance, everything- without the worry the the state will auction all of those precious memories away. Marriage for RELIGIOUS purposes is overrated. I am a lesbian who has been with my parter for years. We are faithfull, we are professionals, we contribute to the community, we treat people with respect-even when they decide NOT to AFTER they realize we are a homosexual couple. The divorce rate is high, child bearring pre-marriage is high. Right now, I am paying so much more in taxes just to give my partenr health insurance (FOUR times the amount cash out of pocket) if we otherwise would be "married". How fair is that? I am not on welfare receiving foodstamps, any government money. But yet, there are so many who get medical coverage for FREE through government assistance who either abuse it or take it for granted. Grant me a civil union, give me MY RIGHT to live a happy, prosperous, FAIR life, just like everyone else. If you want to keep "marriage"- for all the religious purpose you spin on it, got for it. I believe in God, and I believe he loves me for who I am. You may ask, well how is that? I am alive and I am healthy. And for that, I am greatful. But don't YOU say that YOU have a higher "God" given right to live much more happily and prosperous thane me. Remember, the same bullet or disease that can bring me to my death, can bring your to yours as well.

It means nothing in the whole scope of things. Just another topic people can become self- righteous over.

Citizen: You can have your opinion. I don't care if you think that. Many will always think that way, and it's fine. Just don't judge my character by that because I could be the person taking you out of your burining home one day; I could be the person to call 911 when someone is breaking into your home or hit your vehicle.
For all you know, many of "US" have coached a sport, taught in school, volunteered at an event involving your kids, your grandkids, but you wouldn't know it, because what I choose to do in bed (which is probably what you think of when you hear "gay") does not define how I treat people, how I care for people or how much time/effort/money I put into this community.

Love who you love, I guess, I am not to judge, but I certainly am happy with the fact that I know better and won't have to be facing that on judgement day! Dear "WhoUare", Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding Adam and Eve and about what God wants. It is good to know that you have never been gay and will never experience having been gay. It is even better to know you are going to Heaven and will not have to face judgment about being gay. And praise the Lord that you will never have any gay loved ones! To think of having children who turn out to be gay would be unbearable; thankfully God would never do that to us real Christians. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. WhoUare, I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them: When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord – Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them? I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness – Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians? I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself? A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination – Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can you settle this? Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die? I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves? My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them?– Lev.24:10-16. Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws?(Lev. 20:14) WhoUare, I know you have studied these things extensively and you are nonjudgmental and certainly are going to Heaven because you are a true Christian and you know better, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God’s word is eternal and unchanging.
