If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

What part of this do you not understand if you are truly a christian?

@ realist - Not asking you to change your mind. But, please understand this is your "religious" beliefs.

What is in question is Legal Civil Rights.

God has never written a book or asked anyone to sign on the dotted line; especially when it is to protect material things - money.

What is the true meaning of "Gay"? Gay sex does not produce children; like the sex in the bible speaks of. So, you would take away civil rights from men wanting to marry men because they enjoy the same sex acts going on within a man/woman marriage. You can read the bible cover to cover, you will not see anything addressing this.

It's kinda like when Henry XVIII wanted a male heir and was killing the wives that could not produce them. Someone has a V8 and told him to create a religion that allowed him to divorce - problem solved.

That is why marriage should be defined by one's religion and all should have the same legal civil righs - this is America!

Ones "legal and civil rights" were created by the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. A document that was written and forged by Godly men belonging to a nation which was founded upon Christian morals, values and beliefs. Some people state that this document is "outdated" and is an "evolving document" in need of revision to fit the societal changes the country has seen since it's inception. I promise you, making gay marriages legitimate was not the intent of our God fearing founding fathers. I'm sure they would argue that what two consenting adults do in their own bedroom is their business but, to elevate and legitimize this as a legal binding relationship is simply an attempt by gay and lesbian liberals to be elevated to the same good moral standing as a holy matrimony between a man and woman. Like I said before, whats next? The desensitizing of America by far left wing liberals continues and with it the push back by right wing conservatives who have not forgotten the founding fathers intentions of a God loving United States of America.

The very same constitution protects a persons freedom of religion. Even those Christian men wanted people to be able to practice whatever religion they want and not practice whatever religion they choose not to. They are notforcing homosexuality down your throat. Don't force your religion down theirs.

Long long ago there was the same what's next question when it was decided that women could own anything or vote and when they freed the slaves ......oh they wana free the slaves? What next? Next they'll want to vote and swim in the same swimming pools and go to school with white people! What next?
And yes I think our founding fathers wanted freedom of religion and persuit of happiness! Equal rights! Just because YOU think they are less American than you doesn't make it true! Wow!
You have something in common with a box of rocks!

Say what you want, the gay and lesbian lifestyle is an abomination deserving of certain damnation. It's people like you who are causing the moral downfall of this nation. Womens rights, slavery and racial segregation are issues that were addressed and corrected. To try and include the gay and lesbian lifestyle into the same category as those just causes shows your desperation to find some legitimacy for those warped individuals.

Let them live as they want to do but just let them have some respect in the streets and in front of the parents houseses. Heteros don't do that, so why must homos do it? I think it will be better for all of us and for them, let them alone and let others do the same. Nobody cares about how you have sex and with who. There are so much things that occurs in the weddingbed! Legal things can be regulate with a lawyer, you can give your material things to your neigbourough too, or a part of them. No need for a marriage! Love is in the air, in the heart and in your brain. So I don't see why there must be a law about it. But please, don't kill a human for being homo, it could happen in your own family. Because killing a brother or a sister is a bigger sin!
By the way why is there still a need for a legal marriage? In ancient times a couple went into their house and had sex, so they were married! It was known and respected by all the inhabitants.
Of course there was no mention of a gay marriage. Except that it was not toleratet, but never that it was punished by some special punishments. It was said that they had to stop it and come back tot the first way. I suppose that it was possible. Some yougsters became homo after they were abused by an older boy, even an adult. What not means that all of them were abused in the same way. It can be a reason for their difficulties to have sex with the opposite sex. Certainly not a crime!

What if God's natural way to control the number of births, was to have men be attracted to other men at the same time having sex with women - bi-sexual?
Remeber, Gay Sex does not produce children. Women enjoying the company of other women would keep them busy while their mates were taking care of urges with other men.

Mankind made Gay sex a nasty thing, so men started cheating on their mates with other women.

Is this possible?

It would be much easier just to limit the number of girls that are born.

If you read the discussion, you would see that it would be a way to control the population.

Seems more like control would come from Men having Gay Sex with men and women spending more time with their best friends.

Men would have sex only with women when it was time to make children.

Get rid of "legal marriage" and only marry (if you must) in you chosen religion. Keep in mind America is based on separation of Church and State.

Would sure solve alot of issues.

OK, let me see if I have this right, God intended men to be with men (most of the time) and when it was time to have children, be with women.

Makes sense. Men love to be with other men when it comes to sports and hunting. They ask the woman in their life to perform "gay sex", as you put it.

I guess man has changed the original rules.

I'm not sure how that would help. You'd still have men and women making the children.

If you want to screw with the natural order of population growth, all you need is a disease or large war. The disease would be a lot less messy-- and a lot fewer bleeding sphincters.

We are trying to get rid of abortion.

Men would get with women to make children and get with other men the rest of the time to satisfy their sexual urges through "gay sex" with men rather than with women.

By doing away with the "legal marriage certificate", we don't have an issue of straight vs. Gay marriage. No marriage in the law, no civil violations! All the same.

I wonder how many men who had "gay sex" with their lady last night is sitting in the Catholic church this morning?

I bet alot. When you see so many "Cahtolic families" with one, two or three children, something not natural is going on.

Or is it the birth control pill the Catholic Church is so against? If so, why bother with going to church one hour a week?

God forgives you when you make a mistake, but not over and over and over again.

A question that has never been addressed:

Why if "Marriage" is so sacred, more people are not out there against "DIVORCE"?

Many of us are against no-fault divorce.

but that cat is out of the bag and it is nearly impossible to INCREASE restrictions on things like that.
