Obama-Marriage Debate - Baxley, GA

I feel you will answer on judgement day for your sins. We live in a society where people must respect each other regardless what we believe in. Just because he support their rights doesn't means he believe they are right.

we will ALL answer for our sins on judgement day..me included..and one of those sins some people will answer for is voting for obama..if we dont elect a christian leader for this country i hate to see what else this so called man is going to do to bring this country to destruction...the man is satan's spawn..he does all that he can to stay clear of God's way and still try to look like he is a decent human being..again..the Bible speaks of this..the Bible makes it perfectly clear on the sin of homosexuality. we dont have to hate these people,we should love these people and pray for them.. but we DO NOT have to agree its ok to be married just because we think its a civil right...or that we may offend someone it should NOT even be considered as a civil matter..it totally demeans the whole pupose of the civil war..now THAT was a civil matter... not one that that the bible teaches us it is a sin against our loving God such as homosexuality..
of course obama would agree it is ok to marry the same sex..he isnt a christian..and he has a goal..to lead his followers away from GOD and the teachings of the bible..this is one step..what is his next..im terrified to find out

Sin is sin in Gods eyes and we all are sinners. Some choose to lust, some choose to cheat on their spouse, and some choose to love whoever they want. So on and so on.........My point is don't call out another persons sin because there is something we all have done against God first being judging people who just want to be left alone and live their happy life. I thank God for a pastor and a president that looks at the people of God as people and not judge people by the sin the commit!!!!

Well I don't know about some of y'all but I was taught not to go around boasting your sins. I mean they sit here wanting gay marriage legal then turn right around digging up dirt on someone else. We have got to take a stand for God. If that's legal then what about every other sin.

and in the end of times there shall be false prophets...as this too is quoted in the bible.ask alex...be careful who u listen to..i dont judge these people..i think we should love them just as God still loves them..but loving them does not mean we have to condone the sin.

You are correct! Problem is if you say anything against homosexuality, your judging. When this is not the case, you're stating whats in the Bible. Its GOD'S words not mine or no other man's. So be mad at him if you wish. Also GOD is not some peace loving hippie, that some people make him out to be. Ie... the flood,sodom and gamara... etc. He is righteous and just.

Obama is a good President. No doubt I will be voting for him. Republican Conservatives are useless. We are all born just the way God intended. Gays deserve the same rights as any minority. We need to give them legal rights to get married and have children. Let them have peace, security and happiness. I love all God's children but I have to admit you republicans make it hard to love you most of the time.

Baxley citizens have their heads so far up the church's steeples that they can no longer make decisions for themselves. Leave the decisions up to us free thinkers.

I always find it interesting when Christians use Mosaic Law as a moral argument against people they want to hate. On the other hand, when it comes to laws they don't like, they say it doesn't count anymore due to the New Covenant, or that it only applied to the Jews. A careful study of the New Covenant reveals that Mosaic Law does indeed still reign supreme. This naturally leads one to wonder what else you might believe in from Mosaic Law.

For you Fathers out there: If you sell your daughter into sexual slavery, she is not freed after 6 years like men, but her owner must continue to provide food and clothes for her even if he marries another woman. Flood: People who believe that the flood happened, and the whole Noah thing, need to stop trying to engage in public discourse. Go to school or something. I recommend a biology class for starters.

Sodom: God is righteous and just. So you mention a story where a father righteously offers up his daughters for sex upon entering a town, but where the mother is justly turned into a pillar of salt.

Good to know that the fine people of Baxley derive their sense of morality and understanding of reality from a 2000 year old book of centuries old hand-me-down oral traditions told by illiterate uneducated goat herders, rather than from a practical modern informed understanding of society and human behavior.

Just because someone disagrees with your ancient backwater interpretation of the old book of fairytales, doesn't mean that they arent christian. There are plenty of christian denominations who actually support marriage equality, and the right of homosexual couples to raise their families with at least the same civil rights responsibilities and privileges afforded to Britney Spears through marriage.

Well I hope you consider what God says the next time you eat shrimp or oysters, drink alcohol, leave the house without your head covered, or have sex outside of marriage. I get the feeling that sex outside of marriage is a really big thing in the righteous community of Baxley.

I support the right of any couple to be provided with the same rights responsibilities and privileges of marriage afforded by law when it comes to raising their family. Marriage equality is a family value.
